Default Nick-at-Nite vs. ABC Family Editing

I've already noted a difference in one episode:

"Ad Man Micelli"

As you may or may not know, it's my *all-time* favorite episode, so I have recorded the ABC Family version in May 2003 and as of Wednesday's marathon.

I recognized the ABC Family part right before it shows Sam and Marci in her junior high school, there is a living room scene with Sam and Jonathon. Jonathon asks Sam, "Will you still play with me?" Sam replies, "Sure, Jonathon - just not in public." However, Nick-at-Nite skips over this scene.

Anyone noted any different scenes, so far, between the two channels?

I read somewhere that ABC Family did horrible editing, that they'd cut out stuff they felt wasn't appropriate.

N@N seems to cut stuff that's not crucial to the episode. I mean they're not like cutting out something that would normally make you go HUH?

I hope that makes sense

I watched WTB on ABC Family once or twice and from what I've read lots of people think that N@N does better editing, they cut out about a minute for time.

In "It Happened One Summer Part 1" they cut the kids' kiss. It still made sence, but the cut looked bad. You could see that there was something missing before Tony says "it was you."

Also, in "The First Kiss" they cut out the part after Angela gets slammed into the door. Tony is carrying her up the stairs and Angela says "this isn't the way Rhett Butler did it."

In episode 30 "Hunk of the Month", ABC Family cut the part where Angela's friend Wendy has the great line "Don't you know that March goes in like a lion and out like a lamb?"
I never understood why ABC Family had to edit these so-called questionable lines from shows they were airing at midnight on cable, yet somehow they were fine for primetime network TV 20 years ago.

I know and yet my other favorite show Boy Meets World airs on ABC Family now, and they leave in the curse words and stuff

I still have a few of my WTB? tapes from when I recorded the show off ABC Family and they sucked! That station should never add in an extra commercial break. I like the way N@N edits the show. In my opinion, N@N is better than ABC Family at editing.

I agree, ABC Family does terrible editing, as I've experienced that when I've watched Boy Meets World on ABCF. Their editing is very choppy and sometimes leaves me scratching my head wondering cause they cut some relevant things to the episode, plus they stick commericals in at weird times

N@N does that sometimes with WTB? though, too. Not too often though.

ABC Family always does that strange editing with every comedy show, it seems. I do like how both channels air different scenes, so that's nice. At least there's variety.

I like watching WTB on Nick@Nite. ABC Family edited out a lot of good scenes that Nick@Nite doesn't. It's really neat to see those scenes on Nick@Nite that I never got to see on ABC Family
