Default Spiders

If there's one thing I've NEVER been able to stand, it's spiders, and a fairly large one just tried to attack me while in the restroom....

So much for going to sleep (Even a late one) for the next day or so (Seriously, I become completely nutbasket-level nuts at the mere thought of a spider attack..)

Am I the only one who has this level of a dislike for the little buggers? Am I THAT nuts?

I hate spiders too. The little, tiny, titchy ones don't bother me, but the big ones..........eeeeew!!
We get some big ones here - wolf spiders. I suppose I shouldn't complain cos I bet spiders in certain parts of the U.S. are even meaner. Wolf spiders are just horrible - their leg-span can be up to about 8 or 9 centimeters and they run really fast so it's real tough to catch them and throw them out the house. You don't wanna just squish them cos they're big and they make one hell of a mess when you hit them!

When I was a kid, I was terrified of Spiders. My poor mother would have to drop what she was doing and take care of the spider that I saw on the cieling or the wall.

I'm an adult now , so I have overcome my fear and I can kill a spider all by myself.

Roaches are another story..

Well, I am not afraid of the little black ones that we see regularly around our houses, but I just hate the big ones (the multicolored ones with spots, stripes) and I HATE tarantulas. But I have a friend who screams louder than a fire alarm just because of one tiny ant . So everyone is afraid of different things.

Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

There's a whole extended family of the little critters living in my shower. They stay up by the ceiling on a narrow ledge, and only occasionally fall into the tub. Some mornings I have to move one or two back up into the web so they don't drown, but as long as they mainly stay above the showerhead, we're cool.

Default Spiders

I don't hate 'em altogether. However, there is one species of spider that I will kill every time I see one: the sac spider, a hunter that builds a resting cell of silk in corners of walls and walls/ceilings, or wherever. Their bite is apinful, and its systemic effects last a day, althought they're definitely not as bad as the brown recluse spiders. P>s>: The sac spider's the only truly ahrmful spider where I live (Toledo, Ohio).

Ever since I watched Arachnophobia in 1995, I have had a heavy fear of tarantulas and other spiders that are big and furry. The next month after I saw the movie, I wouldn't go into the shower because of this one scene in the film. Never watch that movie if you are afraid of spiders. I can't watch it without covering my eyes during certain scenes.

Spiders are definitely on my list of unfavorite things. Creepy.
