Default your opinion on Simple Plan

What do you think of them?

"I don't love this anymore,"

Who's to think about?
The brighter I shine, the darker my shadows.
And they pull me behind, as I let off the pedal.
Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

Those are the guys who have the video where they're playing on the roof of a house, right?

They're awful! They're nothing but a boy band with instruments.

Roseanne- theme song lyrics from the last season

If what doesn't kill us is making us stronger,
We're gonna last longer
Than that greatest wall in China
Or that rabbit with the drum

If there's one thing that I've learned
While waiting for my turn,
It's that in each life some rain falls
But you also get some sun

And we'll make out better than okay
Hear what I say
Hey, any day

My friend knows someone who would tell people to **** themselves and swear if anyone said they didn't like Simple Plan . Everyone has the right to their own opinion until they go overboard. Still I never really liked them much.

The lead singer has the second most annoying voice in rock... the one from New Found Glory has the most annoying one.

I know it's fashionable to say you hate Simple Plan. "A boyband with guitars" seems to be a popular critisism levelled at them, but you need to put things in perspective:
Have any of you heard of a British group called Busted? If you have then perhaps you've also heard of another British group called McFly. These guys are the very definition of "a boyband with guitars"! They look pretty, they wear whatever is fashionable at the time regardless of whether it suits their musical style, they don't write their own songs and they only pretend to play their instruments. And yet they still claim to be "rock 'n' roll" and "punk".
Busted and McFly make Simple Plan look like rock gods! At least Simple Plan write and play their own songs and don't suck record company d!ck to get radio exposure!
I'm not a Simple Plan fan but they're ok. Give them a break - the real problem with "pop-punk" lies elsewhere........

They're worse than boy bands! I'd listen to a boy band over Simple Plan any day! I can't beleive my friend actually thought that I'd want they're CD!

My mom says that they all look like either geeks, nancy boys, or phycos.

I have mixed feelings on them. I have their cd and some songs are okay, but most of them are terrible. They aren't worth seeing live either.

I don't really have an opinion of them, I have only heard one song.

But the only one of the modern "pop-punk" bands I like at all is New Found Glory, they seem to still have some "true punk" left in them, whereas most of the other ones seem a little too tailor-made for MTV and the teen rags. I used to like Good Charlotte (tho I always considered them power-pop more than punk) until I saw what pricks Joel and Benji are when they think the cameras are turned off, when they were on Punk'd.
