Post Top 10 Reasons...

I couldn't sleep last night so I wrote this list of reasons you know you've been watching too much Van Dyke. I thought the folks here at TDVDS message board would get a kick out of it! So, here it is... (Drum Roll Please!)

The Top 10 Reasons You Know You've Been Watching Too Much of "The Dick Van Dyke Show:"

10. You think about tripping over any ottoman you see.

9. When you see a bald person, you have to resist not saying one of Buddy's baldie jokes.

8. You want a rock in your basement.

7. While grocery shopping, you find yourself looking for potato poopies in the snack isle. (And you find that you put them on your grocery list, too!)

6. You won’t let an artist paint you, for fear of them “un-draping” you.

5. You know what “undercupping” means.

4. You try to set up your single male friends on a date with Sally Rogers.

3. You get a friend to connect the freckles on your back to see if it will make a picture.

2. While taking a bath, you catch yourself playing with a drip.

And the number one reason you know you have been watching “The Dick Van Dyke Show” too long is..........

1. After eating a walnut you check to see if your thumbs are still present.

Well, there they are! All ten reasons! If seven or more of those things apply to you, I would suggest turning off the TV and seek professional help.

Nah...just kidding! As die-hard fans of this show, all 10 things should apply to us!

Hope this made you chuckle!

Good ones.

Let me add..............

11.) You keep wondering what your enormous hallway chandelier would look like in necklace form.

Those are great! About #2, I used to play with the drip, but after hearing what happened to Laura, I stopped! I'm now careful to keep my toes well away from the faucet hehe.

Unfortunately, I can't come up with any good additions to the list, but I'm sure I will tomorrow or something. Thanks again for giving me a good chuckle!

Thanks Kurt, they are really cute I love #5...whenever I see a woman with tight fitting pants I think of Laura/Mary and her undercupping.

I always want Russian dressing on my pastrami sandwiches, but you can't get it any more! (Remeber Buddy having a fit about not getting Russian dressing?)

Those are great! I can especially associate with #8. We have a huge rock right beside our house. It's not inside, but it might as well be. I'm scared it's going to fall into the house during a bad storm! I'll see if I can find a picture so you all can see it.

Those are pretty good, DickVanDykeMan. I've always wanted to try potato poopies and corn curdlies.

Whew, Carrie,
I can certainly see why they would rather not have moved it!
