Have you read this book? I'm currently reading it and boy is it SAD!!!!!I'm not big on crying, but...man...the things that kid went through.

So, anyway, if you read it, what did you think? How old were you when you read it?

I'm not done with it, but its mainly about an abused child. His mom beat him, burned him, and a lot of other dicustinge stuff. Its about his battle to live. Its really sad!

I've read this book and I agree it's very sad. This young boy is basically treated like some kind of animal by his mother. He is forced to sleep on a cot in the garage and not allowed to eat with the other family members but only gets their leftovers.

There was supposed to have been a TV movie based on this book. It was supposed to have been aired last Fall but as far as I know it was never produced. Does anybody know anything about this? I think it was the Hallmark channel.

And in case you didn't know,Southparkgurl, there are two more books following up this one. I have read all three.

I've read that book too- it is very sad. There are two follow ups, I haven't read them yet. I can't remember the title of the second one but the third book is called "A Man Called Dave".
