Question "The I.Q. Test" episode

Michael should not have walked out on that test. I know he did it just to show that the I.Q. tests were racist, but what really got me was the questions that he said were the most difficult: "Cup and (Blank)" and the guest bedroom question about 2 parents and two children living in a 5-bedroom house and if the parents and children each have a room, how many guest bedrooms are left? (One) They seemed to be ridiculously easy questions that any fool could have guessed correctly, but it seemed that none of them knew what it was. Thus, the test was racist, according to Michael. I understand that the whole test scene was to show the lack of education in the students' lives. But still, that's no reason to just walk out of a test. Those were some common sense questions. The Racist tangent wasn't really necessary, especially when Michael was going by what his friends put down for the answers.

But then again, the nerdy guy that administered the I.Q. test did have it coming to him when he let hsi precious statistics get in the way of what an average person can accomplish. I guess the calculator thingy blowing up in his face was an effective way of getting through to him. He was wrong in ruling that Michael go to trade school due to his stats, but then Michael was wrong too in walking out of the middle of a test when he could have stayed and made a fool out of that guy by finishing the test. Gee, I sound like Joe Clark from "Lean on me", but what do you think?

First of all it is obvious that you lived your whole life in a neighborhood that is used to those questions. Haven't you watched the whole episode? They explained everything. If you were living in Iran or any place where it is not normal to have a guest room or cups and saucers because they just sleep on the floor and everyone shares one cup, do you think you could answer those questions?

Since you were a baby you've heard the terms 'cup and saucer' and 'spare room' of course it would be easy for you. Yes, this is America. Everyone should know that. Are you really that naive?

Default I am not that naive

I did watch the whole episode, and it seemed that way to me. I was just saying that Michael should have finished the test to prove that he was able to overcome his trials and tribulations and be the best he could be in his future. Didn't he learn anything from the busing episode?
