Default HELP! Name of Cricket Comedy, please!!!

Hi,
I`ve been trying to think of the name of a cricket comedy that was on about early 90`s (i could be wrong on the year!)
I thought it was called Playing the Field, but i cant find anything about it on the net.
As far as i remember it was about the cricketers and their wives. I think one was called Muriel. It was all about the problems they faced at each match.
I remember the wives getting locked in the toilet and had to try and climb out of the window!
If anyone knows the name of this comedy or even has it, pleae contact me!!!

Many thanks,

Lisa

Hi and greetings from way down under in New Zealand.

Outside Edge, an excellent comedy about village cricketers and their wives was first seen on television on 19 December 1982 as a 105 minutes film made by London Weekend Television. It starred Paul Eddington as Roger, Prunella Scales as Miriam, Jonathan Lynn as Kevin and Maureen Lipman as Maggie.

In 1994, it returned as a sitcom series, this time made by Central Television. Robert Daws starred as Roger, Brenda Blethyn as Miriam, Timothy Spall as Kevin and Josie Lawrence as Maggie.

Series One 1994 7 x 30 minutes episodes
Series Two 1995 7 x 30 minutes episodes
Christmas Special 1995 1 x 60 minutes
Series Three 1996 7 x 30 minutes episodes

Playing The Field was a comedy-drama series about a Yorkshire women's Football Team starring Lesley Sharp as Theresa Mullen, Jo McInnes as Jo Mullen, Melanie Hill as Rita Dolen, Lorraine Ashbourne as Geraldine Powell, Marsha Thomason as Sharon Pearce, Tracy Whitwell as Angie Gill, Brigit Forsyth as Francine Pratt, Elizabeth Spriggs as Mrs Mullen, James Ellis as Mr Mullen, John Thomson as Eddie Ryan, Ricky Tomlinson as Jim Pratt, Tim Dantay as Dave Powell, James Nesbitt as John Dolan, Debra Stephenson as Diane Powell, Adele McCormack as Vicky Dolan and Nicholas Gleaves as Rick Powell

It screened on BBC1 1998-2000 and 2002.
Series One 6 x 50 minutes episodes
Series Two 7 x 50 minutes episodes
Series Three 6 x 50 minutes episodes
Series Four 7 x 50 minutes episodes
Series Five 6 x 60 minutes episodes

I hope this information helps.
