Frasier - The Complete First Season
Release Date: May 20, 2003. Review By: Tim @*!%, aka.... barwars In September 1993, America, and the rest of the world for that matter, embraced a new character, who wasn't new at all. His name -- Frasier W. Crane, played by the talented Kelsey Grammer. Spinning off from the wildly popular Cheers, Frasier already had an audience ready and willing to give it a chance. It premiered to huge success with the public, and especially the critics. Earning it first of five Emmys for "Outstanding Comedy Series", the first season of Frasier is also one of the best. The Good Son (Pilot) Where it all began. In the pilot episode we are introduced (in order of appearance) to Roz Doyle, Frasier's radio show producer. We also meet Frasier's brother Niles, a fellow psychiatrist, like Frasier.... even more so. Then there is Martin, their father, and the basis of the pilot. Frasier has to cope with his dad, his dog, and his chair moving in to his new home. But what gives the show the edge is the apperance of Daphne Moon, Martin's new home care specialist, who's just a wee bit psychic. All in all, a superb episode. If not for the fact that Niles and Daphne didn't meet, it'd be a ten. But since they didn't.... 9/10 Episodes 2-24 Coming Soon.... |
