I keep getting this while surfing SO. I know the procedure -- just cancel it whenever I see it.
However, now I'm getting them a lot more often and it's getting to be really annoying.

It hasn't shown up here on the main boards in a while, but I did see it when I stopped by the galleries yesterday and then again on another site. Irritating crap.

Slightly more malicious javascript Adcode by the Advertising provider.
Cancel. Cancel. Cancel. Oh, and switch, FULL-TIME, to Firefox for all Non-Windows Update matters. (I thought you had already installed it...). The few problematical websites are far outweighed by the decreased computer problems you'll receive afterwards (I've YET to have ONE single piece of spyware since transitioning to Firefox a month ago) |

I replaced every instance of an IE shortcut with an instance of a Firefox shortcut. (Get rid of the more annoying Desktop one by a quick drag-and-drop to the recycle bin then approving the delete dialog box)
I left one link to IE in my Programs menu for Windows Update, but aside from it and the HD space consumed, there's virtually no trace of the program on my computer, and I've never had a better browsing experience |

Still, on the whole, I've gotta say I think Firefox IS the better browser. And remember, it's in version 0.9.2. It's not even to version 1 yet, folks, and it's beginning to clip into IE 6's share a little. Features will come in time, right now, it's more about browser security and stability, with some effort on the look and feel in the browser beginning to appear. |

Okay, it's been a couple of days now, and I've been using Firefox full-time while surfing on here.
I love it a lot so far -- but I have a problem with Firefox while on here. I use the search function a lot, and whenever I want to search for something here in Firefox, I go to the search page and then Firefox freezes up on me and I have to Ctrl + Alt + Delete it to get out of the window. Is there a way I can correct Firefox from freezing up on me every time I use the search function? |
