i know a while ago i posted saying that AD reruns were going to start on July 25 but I just checked out NBC's schedule and it doesn't look like AD is scheduled for this Sunday. Unless dateline is 2 hours (which I believe it is sometimes) there is nothing scheduled for 8 pm so who knows! I sure don't!

I just looked on NBC's schedule at nbc.com, and it's true, it says that Dateline NBC is on this next Sunday.
When will we get our reruns?!?!??!!?!?!?

As far as us getting to see reruns, I don't know if we know the answer.
Here are a few possibilities: 1. The show actually has been cut to 15 episodes per the rumor earlier this year and NBC has no interest in marketing it. 2. NBC has more concern snaring viewership for the upcoming Olympics and needs the air time to run Olympic shows. 3. What we see these days was scheduled months ago and at that time the only thing AD had going for it was the President of programming liking it. Viewership was off for the year (some 40% from the previous year) and in December and January AD was hardly aired at all......looking like it was doomed for cancellation. But late January the President comes out and renews it based upon his personal opinion. 4. Dateline has been snaring more viewers than we thought it would and NBC doesn't want to risk messing with a winner. So reruns? I still think we are lucky the President came through and renewed it at all.....based upon how we were treated during the "family" holiday season (Dec. and Jan.) and our family show NOT being put on for most of that time. I still don't get that one. |

First I want to say that somebody posted here saying the head of Arlen 's site the guy whom plays sam has posted or emailed this individual at Arlen's Site where this person is a member that AD has a full 22 episodes for Season 3......The individual was told that at that site.......
As for reruns tomorrow night no there isn't a rerun.......My Tv Guide said nothing about it and it wasn't down for 8pm tomorrow night........So there is no reruns this week and the Olympics don't start until August......Mel

One of my points, exactly.
NBC has been airing shows of Olympic trials recently that lead into the upcoming Olympics. August is about a week away. So does NBC really have any interest in airing reruns of AD when it can show Olympic "previews"? We will find out in the days and weeks to come. And as far as the 15 or 22 episode thing, perhaps NBC is waiting to see the viewership of the first few episodes to really make a decision on that one. We all remember Boomtown getting "boomed" out of nowhere when it was supposedly going good, so NBC has time on its side on this one. Won't have to make that decision 'til October. |

I think you are right in writing that NBC looks like it doesn't want to show reruns.
If it did......we would see them. Last year I got ahold of a "Hollywood Reporter" magazine and looked up the ratings on Sunday night. Between 7 and 11 and on NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX there were a possible 16 (4 hours x 4 networks) hour long slots to fill and rate. AD was number 16.........last place, in viewership. I looked on another Sunday and the news wasn't much better for us AD fans. Yes, I think it's a good family show. Yes, I think the idea behind the whole music/bandstand thing is original. But the ratings don't show that it's very popular. Bad news for us. But the good news is that the president of programming or whatever likes it. But how long can his pull keep us on tv? I don't know. |

I don't know I hope long enough to keep the show on.....I don't know if anyone else is...But I'm surprised that AD Season 1 did a great job and then it began dropping in Season 2......Anyone else surprised at this and find it strange.....Mel
