Hi everyone. here's another idea for a different kind of game we might try. The "Script Game" goes like this: Example: (Scene #1: Family meeting in livingroom.) Ward: "Say everyone, I thought we would all go up to 'Friend,s Lake' this weekend for a family outting. What do you all say about that idea, …huh?" Wally: "Gee dad, I was only thinkin' about goin' over to Eddie Haskell's dump,er, I mean house to, you know, 'mess around' and junk, …but heck, Friend's Lake sound's a whole lot better to me anyday. What'a you think Beave?" Beaver: "Oh ya Wally!, I'd much rather go up there to the lake than anywhere boy…!" Remember the big catfish we caught last time? Wally: Oh yeah! You almost fell in the lake tryin' to net it Beave …he he he. June: "Well then boys, looks like we'll all go up there like your father suggested. We'll all have a wonderful time up there this weekend. I think it's a great idea Ward! Thank you dear. Now, now, you boys go up and uh pack a few things, while I prepare my list of things to take along. Oh!, then get ready and wash up for dinner, it'll be ready pretty soon…!" Ward: "June, something really smells wonderful coming from that kitchen dear, …what are we havin' huh ?" June: Come into the ktchen with me and I'll show you dear…!" (Scean # 2. Boys running up the stairs.) Beaver: "Ya, let's go Wally.... I can hardly wait to go now, and I have a lot of stuff I wanna' take along too…wow!" (Scene # 3. Boys entering bedroom) Wally: Ok Beave'… but not TOO much stuff ok? Boy oh boy, I can still remember the last trip we took up there, …you took enough 'junk' along for a whole week…!" (Scean # 4. Ward and June in kitchen) June: We're having roast beef and mashed potatoes tonight…how's that sound? Ward: "Mmm, sound's pretty good to me honey! Well, I guess that's all settled then…huh? everyone seem's pleased with my idea…so it's off to Friend's Lake we'll go…!" June: I'm really looking forward to it dear!" Ward: "Ya know something June? …so am I!" /End/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That was just a rough idea. Now,when ever you add a part of the script, the next person adds his or her part and so on to make it complete. Write anything, the way you want to ok gang? Maybe we can all have some fun with this new venture. BTW, this was my wife Rosie's idea. I think it's great, and hope you all like it too. Jimmy D.

(Scene #5: The family's car is parked along side the highway with a flat tire).
Ward: I could have sworn the spare was in the trunk. Beaver: It was, but I used it for a tire swing. June: Ward, maybe you and Wally should walk to town and get help. |

June: Oh no Ward, here come's trouble with a capital 'T'. (mumbling under her breath "I really hate that kid!") ..."Oh!,Hello Eddie!" What brings you by today? Eddie: Well Hello everybody. I was jst out for a long walk, and happened to end up here somehow. heh heh heh. Gosh that sure is a pretty dress you have on today Mrs. Cleaver! I don't recall you ever wearing that one before. heh heh heh. Is it new? June: "Well Thank you Eddie, but NO it isn't new at all. Excue me,I must check my roast. Ward: You go right ahead dear…I'm famished! Wally: Hey Eddie,we were just about to walk down to the ole' garage to get dad a new tire. He kinda' thought he had a spare in the trunk, but it's not there, cause the Beave made a sing withit, and it got all messed up to use now. 'he 'he 'he. Hey,ya' wanna' go along with us Eddie? Heck,it's even way down towards your house,so you'll be right back where you started from. 'he 'he 'he. Beaver: Yeah Eddie, that's right. he he he. Ward: Well boys, maybe Eddie here wasn't going back home just yet! Did you concider that fact? Eddie: Oh,I was Mr. Cleaver… I was. After all, it sure looks like rain anyway, and perhaps maybe you should all get unbrellas to take along. My father always says, "Eddie,it always 'pays' to be 'prepared' for any unfortunate event in life!" Like Thunderstorm for instance Mr. Cleaver,…you know? Ward: Yes Eddie!,I know!… I know! (sigh) Boys,go get some umbrellas will ya'? After all,we don't want to go against 'great advice' like that you know! Beaver: I'll get em' dad! But Eddie I don't think we got one for you though! Eddie: Oh,thats ok Beaver ol' pal,you see, I'm much older now, and I don't mind a little raindrops on my head at all! 'heh 'heh 'heh. Ward: "Yes well, uh,whatever you say 'EDDIE',...whatever you say!" (sigh) (Scene #7. June looking out the window saying to herself) "That Eddie Haskell really annoyes me!" Some day Eddie,…some day! BTW nice job Hawaii50 Keep 'em coming. Jimmy D. |
