I started writing again (ML Fanfiction)

Hey people!! I started to write some fanfiction for Moonlighting again. It's not finished yet, but I'd like to write it together with you Just post some lines from David and Maddie and let someone else follow you

This is going to be a Moonlighting Reunion for the fans, by the fans (Stay serious please )

This is the beginning:

MIRACLES AND MYSTERIES

It was a warm day in June, the sky above L.A. was as blue as it can get. Maddie Hayes is lying on a chair outside in her backyard, with a can of water and her sun-lotion beside her. She listens to the birds, which are singing their song, and enjoys the warmth of the sun. Then the phone starts to ring:

Trrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiing trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiing

Maddie: “Yeah, yeah, hold on, can’t a woman just sit in her garden for ten minutes without being disturbed?”

Maddie picks up the phone.

Maddie: “Hello!”

Phone: “……..”

Maddie: “Hello?”

Phone: “……..”

Maddie: “Fine, then don’t talk!”

Maddie throws the phone back on the hook and goes back outside.


In the meanwhile, David Addison is looking at the phone in his hand, he looks a little confused.

David: (thinking) “Okay, now I finally had the courage to pick up the phone and call her, and now I don’t have the courage to talk to her. David, David, David, what’s wrong with you?”

David turns around and walks away from the phone…..He hesitates, walks back to the phone and dials the number again.

David: “Okay, you can do it David….just be cool.”


Maddie her house

Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiing trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiing

Maddie: (sigh) “Not again…”

Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiing trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiing

Maddie decides not to pick up the phone again and stays outside in the sun.

Answering machine: “This is the answering machine from Madelyn Hayes, I’m not at home right now, so leave a message after the beep. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!”


David’s house

David: “Erhum…yeah…eh…hi Maddie, I know we didn’t talk a lot to each other lately, but……ehm…I don’t exactly know how to say this, but…I don’t really like to talk to answering machines….well, what I wanted to ask you… I wondered if we could get together and have…ehm, lunch maybe? Yeah, lunch, that’s sounds okay. So, what do you think? Call me, you have my number!”

David finished the phonecall and bites on his fist.

David: “Oh my, what have I done? Yeah David, now she can’t wait to see you again, you sound so cool on the answering machine…”


Maddie her house

Maddie decided she had enough sun for the day and went back inside, walked to the stairs, planning to take a shower. She passed the answering machine and saw she had one message. She rewinds the tape and listens to David’s voice.

Answering machine: “….. I wondered if we could get together and have…ehm, lunch maybe? Yeah, lunch, that sounds okay. So, what do you think? Call me, you have my number!”

Maddie: “Oh my, David, where you nervous or what, haha. Poor guy.”

Maddie smiles.

Maddie: “I think I better call him back.”

Maddie dials the number of David’s house.


David’s house

Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiing trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiing

David picks up the phone

David: “Hello”

Maddie: “Hi David…I heard your message on the answering machine. Did you call me before?”

David: “Why?”

Maddie: “Well, when I said hello, no one answered.”

David: “Oh, that wasn’t me, I would at least answer you.”

Maddie: “Right.”

David: “Right.”
Maddie: “So.”

David: “So….why did you call me again?”

Maddie: “You called me first…”

David: “Oh yeah, about lunch, right?”

Maddie: “Right, well, I just wanted to say that I would like to have lunch with you.”

David: “You do?”

Maddie: “I do.”

David: “Okay, when?”

Maddie: “Well, it’s too late to have lunch today, so…”

David interrupts.

David: “…maybe we can have dinner.”

Maddie: “You want this to happen fast don’t you?”

David: “Do bears bear? Do bees be?”

Maddie: “Oh my, you are still using that line.”

David: “Still using that line I am, but only with you.”

Maddie: “Oh….I don’t know what to say.”

David: “Maybe this: tonightish, I’ll pick you upish, at, let’s say eightish?”

Maddie: “Eightish it is.”

David: “Okay, see you then.”

Maddie: “Okay, bye.”

David: “Bye.”

David sits down on the couch and sighs.


Maddie her house

Maddie leans against the wall and sighs, then she panics!

Maddie: “What should I wear? I don’t even know where we are going to eat!?! Knowing David, it’s probably a snackbar or something.”
About 4 hours later, we see Maddies bedroom filled with clothes and shoes, damp is on the mirror. Maddie just took a shower and is now doing her hair. Her hair is hanging on her shoulders, with a lot of curls, the way she looks best. Maddie whips away the damp from the mirror and takes a look at herself. She’s wearing a light-blue dress which ends just above her knees.

Maddie: “So, that should do it! Now I still have to clean up this mess.”

Maddie looks at her watch which is lying on her bed.

Maddie: “Oh no, David will be here in ten minutes!”

The doorbell rings, Maddie runs down the stairs

Maddie: (Thinking) “That can’t be David, it’s too early.”

She opens the door and sees a very handsome man, wearing a black suit, standing in the doorway. She opens her mouth and closes it again while observing him.

Maddie: (while trying to catch some breath)“David… You’re early.”

David: “I know, I just couldn’t wait any longer.” He smirks and hands Maddie the lavender rose he was holding behind his back. “This is for you, it suits with your dress.”

Maddie smells at the lavender rose.

Maddie: “Thank you David…does this mean we are going to a real restaurant?”

David: “Well…I kinda have a little surprise for you.”

Maddie: “Which is?”

David: “I can’t tell you that, otherwise it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore.”

Maddie: “Right.”

David: “Right. Well, shall we go then?”

Maddie: “Okay, I’ll get my jacket.”

David: “Okay, but fast, otherwise the cab-driver will decide to drive away.”

Maddie turns around and looks a little confused at David.

Maddie: “Addison, I hope this is a part of the surprise.”

David: “Trust me Maddie, you will love it.”


Later in the cab

Maddie: “So, where are we going David?”
David: “Don’t you recognise something?”

Maddie looks through the window, she notices what David means, turns her head back to David. While saying:

Maddie: “Addison, this is the way to your…”

David is sitting dangerously close beside her.

Maddie: “…house.”

David: “So you do recognise it.”

Maddie: (looking straight into David’s green eyes while whispering) “David, where are you taking me?”

David: (whispers while looking into Maddie’s blue eyes) “You just said it, I’m taking you to my house.”

Maddie turns her head away from David and continues looking through the window.

David: (thinking)“Don’t worry, Maddie, have a little patience.”


In front of David’s house

David gets out of the cab first and then opens the door for Maddie.

David: “Welcome to mia casa!” David reaches his hand out for Maddie.

Maddie doesn’t say anything, but grabs his hand and steps out of the car. David pays the cab-driver and walks towards the door together with Maddie. He opens the door and steps inside. When they get into his apartment, the room is dark.

David: “Sit down over here.”

Maddie: “Right here?”

David: “Yeah, right here.”

David walks further into the room and almost stumbles over a chair. Maddie is smiling in the dark.

Maddie: “Are you allright?”

David: “I’m okay, I’m okay.”

Maddie hears the noise of matches. Then she sees a little light in the dark. David is lightening some candles. She watches David walking around. David feels her eyes are watching her and he turns around and looks in her eyes. He smirks. Maddie looks away, blushing. Then David breaks the silence.

David: “You can come over here now, dinner will be served in 10 minutes, I hope you like it because I’ve been working on it all day.”

Maddie: “You cooked?”

David: “Yes I did.”

Maddie: “I didn’t know you could do that.”

David: “Well, I had to. Eating hamburgers and microwave food all the time isn’t healthy.”

Maddie: “I’m totally surprised.”

David: “And…?”

Maddie: “What do you mean, and?”

David: “Do you like it?”

Maddie: “I love it!”

David smiles and walks into the kitchen. Maddie looks through the room.

Maddie: “I see you’ve finally bought some furniture!”

David yells out of the kitchen

David: “No, I didn’t, Stephanie thought I needed some furniture so she brought some old stuff!”

Maddie: “She thought well.” She smiles and stands up to walk to the kitchen.

David turns around and sees Maddie standing in the doorway.

David: “Maddie, didn’t you ever learn to be patience? You are going to ruin the surprise!”

Maddie: “David?”

David: “Maddie?” He walks towards her.

Maddie: “David, where can I wash my hands?”

David stops walking…

David: “Oh…over there.” He points to the sink.

Maddie walks over to the sink while David is watching her.

Then.... all of a sudden Maddie cries out in pain!

Maddie: " Aahhhhaaaahh!!

David : " Maddie! What's wrong??"

Maddie: "Hot , hot!"

David: "Well.. do you want me to do something about that ...?"

Maddie: "No David, the water! It's hot!!

David: " Oops, I'm sorry, here let me help you!"

David turns on the cold water and takes Maddie's hand.
He gently rubs her hand under the cold water while Maddie is watching him with "the sensual look".

All of a sudden she walks away leaving David empty handed.

David goes after her into the living room and looks at her.

David: "What? Why are you walking away all of a sudden?"

Maddie: " I don't know I guess I just got a strange feeling when you held my hand"
I'm afraid I can't resist my feelings, .... you know......

David: " Well I don't mind if you can't resist your feelings!

Maddie:" I know you don't, but I do!" Oh David, don't you see that this is all going to fast for me!

David: "Here we go again, lady I heard this before and I don't know what you're thinking but my plans are different than what you think they are!"

Maddie: "Really?"
David: " Really!"

Than David sits down and holds her burned hand gently.
He kisses it...... then Maddie kisses him on the cheek.

Maddie whispers in his ear: "Thank you..."
David looks her in her eyes: "You're welcome, now let's eat!"

He poors some red wine while he grins his famous grin looking at Maddie. (think about "In god we strongly suspect" when he lights the candles in the morgue, that grin)

Maddie likes it and relaxes...........

The dinner was great, David learned to cook very well. They talked about the past, about the things that happened in the time they where apart. David started to do the dishes, while Maddie sat down on the couch.

David: (singing) "I am not Jesus though I have the same initials -
I am the man who stays home and does the dishes."

Maddie smiles. Then she sees some old pictures of David. She picks one up and looks at it. He is so handsome.

Maddie: (thinking) "Why did I ever let him go?"

[Tazmania]

Now that was a quicky Steph!
Should I wait for more or do you want me to continue?

[Dutchie]

You can continue, I didn't know what to write anymore LMAO! Oh, by the way, we have to figure out how Maddie is going home. Is she going to take a cab back to her place? David doesn't have a car, right?

[Tazmania]

She's not going home........

[Tazmania]

While staring at David's picture Maddie gets warm feelings and flash backs of all the things they went through together.

David: "A penny for your thoughts, your body for free...?"

Maddie looks up startled by his voice.

Maddie: "Oh I'm sorry I was daydreaming eh.... nightdreaming, oh I don't know".
David: "So I see, want some coffee?"
Maddie: "Ok, thanks."

Minutes later David walks over to the candles and lights some more.

They speak at the same time:
Maddie: "David..."
David: "Maddie..."

Maddie: "You first"
David: "No, you first"

Maddie:" I just wanted to say that I really appreciate this"
David: "Appreciate what?"

Maddie: "This... the dinner, the wine, the candles....... (speaking softly) the mood......"

David: "I didn't know we had a MOOD going on... are we?"
David walks over to Maddie, he snaps his fingers and all of a sudden music comes out of the speakers in his living room.

" Some walk by night, some fly by day.......
nothing could change you, set and sure of the way.."

Maddie thinks: "Oh my God, I haven't heard that song in a million years!"
David grabs her round the waist slowly but surely and he starts to sway with her.

Maddie blushes and is starting to get that same feeling again like she had in the kitchen.
She dances with him thinking : "Boy Maddie, you want this man!!
You want him like you never wanted him before!"

Then the music stops and the only light that was on goes out.
It's dark, the candles are burned up, and there is no sound except the somewhat harder breathing of Maddie and David.

Maddie: " David what happened?"
David: " I don't know, must be the fusebox or something. You wait here and I'll go check it out".

Maddie: " Ok David but be carefuuuuuuuuuuuuul, aaahh!!"
David trips over the rug and lands on the floor with Maddie on top of him....then the light goes on and the music starts to play again.
Maddie laying on his chest, speaking soft, with a slight grin on her face: "David..... did you do this on purpose?
Switch the lights and music off, dragging me down to the floor on top of you, tell me.... was this a planned thing?"

David: "You know I don't PLAN things, everything happens spontaneous in my life! This is what they call kismet!"

Maddie: "Oh really? then what is this thing sticking out of your pocket?
Maddie reaches in his pocket and pulls out.................................... a remote! (what did you think??)

David starts to laugh real loud and rolls over on top of Maddie, then they start to roll some more through the whole living room as they stop in front of David's bedroom door............
They give eachother a loooong look, green meets blue, then they both look at the bedroom door at the same time and back at eachother.
David starts to kiss her neck (almost reaching that spot beneath her hairline), then moves up to her cheek until he reaches her mouth.
Maddie is letting it all happen..
She thinks: " I don't care anymore!! I want this man and that's final!"
He kisses her lips gently than a little harder until french kissing is unavoidable.
David is getting really excited and also a little unpatient.
He thinks: " God, it's been so long since.......and now after al this time I've got the most beautiful woman on earth who wants to make love to me..be patient Dave, be patient, make it a night she willl never forget!"

He's gets up off the floor and pulls Maddie up by the hand.
He opens the bedroom door and leads Maddie by the hand to the bed, he turns around and starts to nuzzle her neck again and now he DOES find the spot on her neck that she likes so much...
David whispering: " Remember this?......"
Maddie moans and groans kissing him back, and touching him all over.
He takes off his sweater and Maddie watches him do it, like she was watching a private stripper.
Now she get's really excited and starts to unbutton her blouse as David stops her and goes on with what she was doing.
David whispering: "God Maddie, how did HE do it?"
Maddie talking in a sexy low voice: " I don't know I never did it with HIM before...but let's not go there, shut up and go on with what you're doing ... please"
David:" Ooh I love it when you beg!"

They fall on to the bed and make passionate love like two people who haven't made love in years. (and they really didn't)

Yes this is a night Maddie will never forget. It lasts for hours and hours and totally exhausted she falls into a deep sleep in David's arms and as he watches her sleep he never felt so happy before, not knowing what the rest of the night would bring them.... .

4.00 AM the telephone rings.....................
