The 50s was by far the worst decade for TV.

I voted for I Love Lucy.... because its the best of the small batch of 50s sitcoms I like.
Actually, besides I Love Lucy the only 50s shows I like are....

The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show
The Honeymooners
Leave it to Beaver
Make Room for Daddy/The Danny Thomas Show
(from the grand total of 2 episodes I've seen)

I do like the 50s.... but only 5 shows.
Some were VERY good.... but quantity wise it was very weak.
The 80s are my favorite, followed by 90s, then 70s, then 60s, then today, then 50s.
