Several of you have posted photos of Joe and Helen kissing, and it's always impressed me just how HOT their kissing scenes are!
Something else that I like about their kissing scenes....no matter how hot or passionate they are, they almost ALWAYS follow it with a super-funny gag: 1. Joe falling over chairs and Helen dumping a glass of ice water down her blouse. 2. Joe looking at Helen, smiling and saying, "You had a hot dog, didn't you?". 3. After their super-passionate "meat-slapping" kiss, they both completely freaked out: "WHOA, what the hell was THAT?" As steamy as the Joe-Helen kisses were, they never took them TOO seriously....What a fun series! |

exzzzzactly!
![]() I believe that's part of the appeal of the Joe Helen relationship. That and their love-hate relationship. Did their kisses after they got married give the same effect as the ones they had before they got hitched? |

Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe I'm forgetting something, but from what I remember, most of their post-wedding kisses were of the "Hi, Honey" peck variety. |

I always thought Joe/Helen (Tim/Crystal) had incredible chemistry together. I know we discussed this before on the board, but I always thought there was a sincere attraction between the two of them and that is partly why the kissing scenes were so powerful.
Like we discussed before, I don't think anything seriously happened on the set between them because Tim had been married for years, even before Wings started, but the attraction was definitely there between them. A couple of my other favorite kisses between them was in the Airport 90 episode when Joe kisses Helen because he's so glad she's OK, she thinks he's going to be mad with her, and after the long kiss she pulls back and says "I guess I deserved that"... I always liked that....and another subtle moment was when Helen and Joe had been dating for a while and Brian is there having rented a video and Brian is talking over the video, making up voices and story lines with the sound turned down, and Helen and Joe are totally oblivious to Brian as they just kiss on the couch for a long time....it was a nice touch. After they were married the writers really didn't put the characters in much of a position to be romantic or do anything like that. They have a nice moment kissing when they get stuck at the Singles mixer and they have a great "lust moment" in the episode called "Lynch Party" but that's about all I can think of. |

The reason the funny kissing scenes slowed down after they got married was because..... get ready..... THEY GOT MARRIED... Lol.

Webteen, you are wise beyond your years.
.....I've always said I've always liked how even though Wings is just a sit-com, they did a great job of keeping the characters and situations they dealt with so true to life.....after marriage relationships naturally move to a different place....that's not a bad thing, it's just different from the courting and pursuing days, and the writers just focused on those kinds of aspects when they were married and not so much on the romantic things. |

I have to say that I didn't watch much of the show after Lowell left. I think that the best scene with them was when Joe and Helen were together in the elevator when she was going to find Davis. That is when he asked her to marry him. That is probablly one of my favorite scenes of the series!

I agree about the proposal in the elevator, that's one of my favorite scenes as well! But my all-time favorite Joe/Helen kiss is the one after the famous meat-slapping scene in "The Ladies Who Lunch" (I believe that's the ep. title). Joe says the classic line, "One minute we were slapping each other with meat, the next minute it just got weird!"

I've seen every episode, but I just restarted watching a little over a month ago.. And I was really young when the show was out, so I didn't remember a single episode except for the Martini Bar one... Lol. XD

I love all Joe and Helen kisses. I am probably one of the biggest Joe and Helen shippers, I know they do end up toghether which makes me so happy, but I enedd up crying when they broke up in the end of season 2, andHelen comes back in the beginning of season 3 and Joe is dating Gail. Is it wrong that I never liked Gail, as nice as she was? Heh.

Lol. I'm not that obsessed. If the show ever came back I think helen and joe should be divorced in it, to give it a spin. Lol.
