Default If I was Dabnis, I would have walked out of the room when he met

Clair's mother and Cliff's father for the first time. When Dabnis said he does pretty good financially, they had no business asking him-"HOW GOOD"?, I would have said-"i'm sorry but that is confidential information and left the room.lol DAMM I Hated grandpa huxtable.

I guess they were concerned about what kind of person Vanessa was dating. But I wish they didn't break up , I loved Dabnis!

THey still shouldn't have asked the man about his salary. If a female's parent asked me about what i made i would say none of your damm business

They would probably ask their daughter about 'your' business before asking you. After speaking with you in conversation they'll make a decision on what kind of intelligence you have and your ability to make their daughter happy in a stable environment.

Cliff and Clair were snobs. After they found out that Dabnis was well to do they liked him.

No one with an ounce of class would ask someone how well (meaning how much money)
No one without a reason to brag would tell anyone with the exception of their other half
If I were Dabnis, I would have asked them I will tell you how well when you tell me the answer to your finances.

The Huxtables always acted like they wanted their children to be happy and it did not matter if they were doc. or lawyers. Remember when Theo wanted to be a regular guy blah blah blah. But they were hypocrits in a way. They were not happy for Sondra and Elvin when they were poor, but Sondra and Elvin were happy. Same goes for Vanessa and Dabnis, they should have just accepted she was happy and let them move forward without worrying about his wealth.
