I went to high school in the 1970s -- I graduated from Maumee High in 1979 -- and I never heard the word "hot" being used in reference to someone who's truly good-looking. Does anyone else remember that word being used that way?

I didn't graduate high school until the 80s, but yes I do remember the word hot being used in reference to a good looking person.
Just look at these lyrics from Thin Lizzy: You know that chick that used to dance a lot Every night she'd be on the floor shaking what she'd got Man when I tell you she was cool, she was red hot I mean she was steaming |
