a lot of love in the family

I just watched most of the season 2 DVD and I realized one reason why this show was one of my favorites- despite George's blustery ways, there was a lot of love in that family. In the episode where Florence was going to kill herself he blurted out to her that they love her. There are several instances where Mother Jefferson and Louise are warm to each other: she's the one who defends Louise from Lou Gossett (I'm still laughing at how aggressively he came on to her right under George's nose- he stuck his tongue down her throat!). The episode where they plan to go on the cruise shows that George and Weezie had a hot passion for each other and Mother Jefferson cared enough to eventually back out of going along with them. Actually in every episode the actors were very good at showing that those characters cared deeply for each other which makes this show a class act in my book.

I agree, and i still wait patiently for season 3 of the Jeffersons to be released. It's been 13 months since season 2 was released and still no word on season 3.
