Default Playing video games will improve your driving skills

that's right folks. i've been playing games like f-zero and mariokart like my whole life. today i got to drive around a parking lot because my dad was teaching my brother how and i wanted to try for fun, and i noticed i was using techniques i've learned especially from f-zero for turning and going straight and ****. now go buy your kids f-zero (preferably the one for SNES) and they'll grow up to be excellent drivers. the end.

I can see where you use the same principle. Grand Turismo is the one I use. When you need to make a right turn you begin to slide to the left so you can enter the turn without slowing down much. I guess the big big difference is when you crash......there is no replacement car that pops up on the screen.

I can see that! Video games do help your hand/eye coordination, which does help when you are trying to avoid being hit by drunk drivers while still maintaining control of the car.

That made me laugh!

Also, you can't spin out and then recover instantly, like in the Mario Kart games. If only life worked that way...

Yeah, I believe that video games can help kids' motor skills and stuff. I've played MarioKart (SNES), Indy Raceway 500 (Old-skool PC), F-Zero (SNES), Test Drive (Old-skool PC), Death Drome, Gran Turismo (PSX), and others. I believe they've sort of helped me. Playing video games since I was 4 years old helped me with hand-eye coordination and make me a good multi-tasker.

I saw on ESPN, that this nascar dude learned a lot from playing this nascar game and during a real race, when he was in a yellow flag, the people from the pit stop told him to use the strategy from the game and it worked. He ended up winning the race.
