I watched TDVDS Remembered on my season 4 DVD last night. It got me wondering which reunion show was better. What show do you guys prefer?

I think the fact that they were different kinds of shows, both of which I enjoyed, leads me to say they were both equally good.

I enjoyed both shows, but I was really disappointed in Mary Tyler Moore's unwillingness to blend into the Revisited episode. She looked and behaved out of place beside the rest of the cast. And though I applaud her for looking so young and beautiful, I think she should have allowed the makeup and wardrobe staff to do what was necessary for her to stand out a little less, and look more like Rob's wife. After all, she's supposed to be an actor! Forgive my failing loyalty to MTM, but Carl Reiner wrote a great script, everyone turned up to work, and it seems that she had to be a prima dona and dampen their good efforts. Sorry.

I agree. It looked as though Laura and Rob were 25 years apart in age. Also, Millie, Laura's best friend, looked to be about 15-20 years older than she.

I don't think Mary's age or appearance effected her portrayal of Laura. I think Laura Petrie in the Revisted special stands out so much and seems more like Mary Richards because Laura Petrie probably grew and became more independant as the years went on. I don't think Mary's acting made the Revisited special bad at all, whihc is why I said both reunion shows were equally good!
Well, that's my 2 cents anyway! Kurt |

I never saw "TDVDS Remembered" from 1994 (at least, if I did, I don't remember it). What was it about?
