This one's sort of funny, but it is really memorable to me.

Wally: Beave, do you think I am a pretty grown up guy?
Beaver: Yeah, but when you get around girls, you get real flaky!
Wally: This has got nothing to do with girls! I just want to know if I should tell mom and dad that Scott's parents aren't going to be up at the lake.

It may not be word for word, but it will give you the idea.

Anybody ever take note of how good Hugh Beaumont was at talking on the phone in LITB? (And making it look "real".)

He was excellent at producing that "glazed-over"/"staring off into the distance" look while talking on the phone.

One particularly hilarious and perfectly-done one-way phone conversation has Ward talking to June (but we never see June in the scene). Ward finds out that Beaver has ditched school and is at a local supermarket snacking on the store's free food samples. June frantically phones Ward at the office to go and pick up the little truant. Ward is not at all pleased. The funny phone call ends with Ward barking at June: "June, you can pick up clothes pins anytime!"

Beaver: "Yeah, I'd like to throw the football around after supper."

Wally: "Okay, then we'll throw the football around after supper."

I believe I saw that ep too once.
Hugh really was great at those phone conversations. IMO ,it added a lot to the show in a big way. (LOL)

I don't recall the 'Football' ep though. I hope they show it again.
