girl kidnapped from payphone by man in truck - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This girl stopped at a parking lot to use a pay phone and called her boyfriend to tell her a suspicious man was watching her. She describes the man as a white male, late 30's, glasses, mustache,"scraggly" hair, and drove what appeared to be an old Ford Truck which was painted half green and half white and had a picture of a fish in the rear window.

Anyways, while the girl is on the phone with her boyfriend, the man she said was watching her kidnaps her. The boyfriend hops in his station wagon and drives to the parking lot to rescue her. Speeding along the way he actually passes the truck. He comes to a quick halt, turns the car around (very quickly) and pursues the truck. Unfortunately, when he turned the car around he damaged the transmission and the car dies out in mid-pursuit. His last sight of her (I believe) was of her banging on the rear window of the truck saying help.

I believe this happened in Washington State. The Seattle Area, perhaps. Late 80's, early 90's I think.

Does anybody remember this case? If so, did they catch the guy? Did they find the girl's body? Based on the description of the kidnapper, it looked a lot like the guy they arrested as the Green River Killer.

The Angela Hammond case has been talked about quite a bit here. I was actually thinking about it this morning (weird, huh?)

was likely murdered by serial killer Kenneth Allen McDuff, who committed several murders in the early nineties after being parolled by our great justice system in 1989. The bodies of all his "90s" victims have yet to be located (due to McDuff not saying anything) but was executed in 1998 due to two other murders he committed.

Actually, this case happened in the small town of Clinton, Missouri. There were also two other women abducted from the western-central region of Missouri around the time. One of the women was found dead. Angela Hammond is still missing for all I know. This case was just on today 7/9/04 on Lifetime at 1:00p.m.
I have this on tape too. I'll have to look further into this mystery. It is very interesting, but upsetting at the same time.
