Default Season 6 Episodes that were actually good

California Crude-episode when Fred and Lamont plant a small Garden and a professor says they may be sittin on Oil

Stakeout-when Fred is attracted to a guy dressed up as a woman

Here Today, Gone Today-When Lamont tricked Fred into thinking his furniture was Stolen

Those eps I think are the ony ones worth watching in the last season.

The first & third ones you mentioned were OK - "Stakeout" was crap.

The interaction with Fred and Sgt. Perkins was pretty funny, but usually any episode that has to due with the Sanford Arms stinks.

LOL - just remembered this exchange:

Sgt. Perkins: I told you you'd be reimbursed by the city.

Fred: Yeah, but the way you eat, they'll have to give me
El Segundo.

the thing is confusing.

Is fred supposed to be the straight man in his exchange with Perkins.?
Is Perkins supposed to be the straight man .?
Maybe its just Perkins face that makes you laugh and not his acting.

I haven't seen too many season 6 episodes but out of the ones I have seen, Committee Man is the funniest.

Turner: Remember, Sam Turner will never harm you.
Fred: Yeah - but his plumbing may drown you!

---

Lamont: Mrs. Channing?
Fred: Yeah, that bulldog that sits next to me down at the Committee meetings. Ugly woman - UUUUUUUgly woman!

My take on Season 6 is that most episodes just can't sustain for the full 30 minutes. I think it is Lamont's demeanor that does it in, he just stands there with thu dumbfounded look on his face in several episodes, and those sunglasses all the time ?? The episodes surrounding his engagement to Janet are just boring.
Of course I will buy Season 6 when it comes out, to complete the collection and to have them unedited. Most episodes have some funny moments, but just don't hold up, examples:

Chinese Torture: Great moments with Fred and Esther, especially when he puts the bag over her head.

Fred The Activist: First half is pretty funny, the rest sags.

Lucky Streak: Same as above.

Fred's Extra Job & Committe Man are probably the best.

I agree about your statement on Lamont; what the hell was Demond Wilson problem, and what was the dea with the goofy glasses and the indifference he put into his acting towards the end of Sanford and Son; I am assuming this was the same time that Demond Wilson was unfortunately getting into cocaine, and his habit began to show through his behavior on the show

Well, surprisingly...I liked the Hawaiian Connection.

I have been watching the last season on tape and I notice that Demond Wilson will periodically look at the camera while Redd Foxx is talking. It's like he is trying to get a cue from somebody offstage on what his next line is.

I notice this especially in The Lucky Streak, and Funny, You Don't Look It

I will buy Season 6 as well..but those last few episodes towards the end were not worth even putting out on TV.

School Daze was a waste.

I really liked the B.B. King episode. One of my favorites.
