Default "Skank"

I guess back then, that was the word for freak. Remember when James called Sweet Daddy's girlfriend that. It
's been a while, but I remember JJ painting a portrait of her, and she didn't like it. Then James said something like, "When he sees one, he'll paint one". She said Sucker, then he came with Skank. Check how shocked the audience sounded as they were laughing.

Also, wasn't that the episode where Sweet Daddy made JJ take off his clothes? James cracked me up, "Those coulda been sllllllllll, sweet daddy's drawers". LOL

it took me a few episodes to figure out what james had said. I never used to pay much attention to it at first, until I realized the crowd's reaction. "oh that's what he said".

I thought he said "Stank" as a kid. I later realized he was probably saying "Skank". That was funny. Did a different actress play Savannah in this ep. It has been so long since I've seen it.

That is so funny. Just reading that, I can hear her voice in my head saying that in that episode. She's so ghetto.

I think it is one of the best scenes that I have never forgotten. My brother and I still talked about this scene even before the DVD came out.

Who was the actress who played Savannah, she also played a mother who had a son who had a hearing problem in another episode of "Good Times."

She was also on an episode of "Martin."

Default Bebe Drake

I was used to the 2nd Savannah Morgan in the 1978 ep when Sweets was gonna harm JJ because he would not change his testimony when Savannah had an accident. Bebe Drake could not play both roles during that season since she also played Larry's mom in a 2 parter episode.

I remember the second actress. I thought she was funny. If would have been funny had Bebe Drake reprised the role again and then a few weeks later we see her as Larry's mother. LOL.

I need to remember that one; the term "skank" in California means someone, especially a woman, who is basically an ugly whore...

That has got to be one of the funniest episodes. But, I always thought that Sweet Daddy Williams was a pimp, not just a numbers man. Were people running numbers making money like that back then? 4 caddys, 2 apts and minks? Uh....I don't know how accurate that is. Speaking of him, so was "Len -nah" a pimp and when he is going to show up? I believe he debuts in Season 4 or 5. He was my fav slightly reoccuring character.

skank=dirty whore
i kinda got the feeling that was an adlib. maybe not.
"when he sees one, he'll paint one."

don't know the actresses name, but she and the "bang, bang" character always seem to be husband and wife for some reason.

*House Party
*Boomerang - thought there was one more

She was also Myrna on the Martin episode with Gina works in Shaneenah's salon. Remember when they had to use that machine on her corns?
