Default Family Matters pretty much ended in a cliffhanger

i beleive that family matters ended in a cliffhanger after it's final cbs season, because it never showed steve urkel and laura getting married after steve returned from space in the final 2"lost in space " episodes. i think the reason why they ended it in a cliffhanger was because of myra's death, but i'm not sure.

also, the final season never explained what happened to stefan urkquel either when steve went into space, what ever happened to stefan.

They should have gotten married on the last show but after Harriet was replaced I sort of lost interest. Plus a lot of the other characters weren't on anymore. I don't think it had anything do do with Myra (Michelle Thomas's) death because she died after Family Matters went off the air.

Interesting question about Stephan. He was in part 1 of the finale, watching the space launch on tv with Myra, but they never said where he was after that. Where did he live anyway? Theoraetically Steve could have disposed of him in some way since he was brought in for Laura who at that point no longer wanted him.

Still, i think it is just as well that this show ended when it did and how it did. Considering the poor ratings on CBS they could have ended it in midyear and that would have been an even bigger unresolved story. The way it ended you can infer that Steve and Laura married.

Hmmmmm. Are you sure about that part with Stefan being in part 1 of the finale? I don't remember that part. But that is a good question about where Stephan lived. Steve had to stay with the Winslow's when his parents went to Russia. Stefan did stay in France for a while for that modeling job, but where the heck did he live when he returned to Chicago. Maybe he made enough money to afford a mansion. You never know.

From "Raising Dad" a short lived sitcom with Bob Saget of "Full House" fame.

Yes he and Myra were watching the space launching in part 1, but I don't believe he was in part 2.
