"Maximum Smart" marathon Nick At Nite-1991 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I taped the entire Maximum Smart marathon from Nick At Nite back in 1991. They showed all 138 episodes during one weeks time back in April of that year. My tapes are still in good shape, does anyone else have the complete Maximum Smart marathon from Nick At Nite?

Nick at Nite back in the early 90's...those were the days !!

I remember that marathon. I recorded 2 nights worth of episodes. This marathon gave me a good insight as to how GREAT this show actually was.

I don't recall the actual "title" for each night of the marathon I recorded -- it had something to do with "matrimony" & "evil KAOS villians"..???

I also taped "Maximum Smart" back in 1991. It took 12 VHS tapes and setting the alarm for late night tape changes. Don't know if it was because of the feed from Nick or something to do with my cable system, but a few of the episodes had audio problems, loss of picture, etc. and I had to spend a while trying to record those eps. again. Some people thought I was crazy to record the whole thing, but 14 years later I still have the whole series----and also it was a real challenge to hang in there 'til the end.

when Get Smart came to TV Land in I think it was 2001 I remember a marathon. How many episodes of the series did they show then. I don't think it was a week long like the marathon from 1991 that you guys are talking about. I think it was just 48 Hours

...there were some mini-marathons in 2001, but the Maximum Smart event on Nick in 1991 ran 10 hours per day for 7 days and they showed all the episodes from its 5 season run.

I hate to hear that they sped them up and deleted scenes, but that seems par for the course for those butchers at the advertising-hungry networks.

Eventually I'm sure we'll get the whole thing unedited on DVD.
