Had the series lasted a couple more seasons, do you think Paul would have become an official regular.

I would think so. Paul seemed to be more included into the show in the last season. I assume if the show lasted longer, he would've been a regular character just like Norm and Cliff. In my opinion, Paul fit in well with the Cheers gang.

Yes, I think he would have become an "official" regular. That's the nice thing about Cheers - it's so easy to add new characters and have other ones leave. There's no way a show could get away with that if it were set in a household, like so many other sticoms are.

Yeah he would have most likely have been named in the opening credits. Cliff wouldn't get made fun of as much.

I think that might have been the plan if it lasted another season.

yes, I think so. Like someone else said, I'm sure he'd even been listed in the opening credits.
BTTW, ddid anyone ever see that one episode where he's in one scene, but his name's Glen, or something? It's in that opening scene and I think it's aan earrly one (with Diane & Coach) |

I definitely think Paul would have become an official regular. His character seemed to be picking up speed toward the end of the show's run. I liked him. He had an affable manner about him. He wasn't goofy like Cliff or as boisterous as Norm. He was a nice balance. They made a good trio.

I think if Cheers went on to a twelth season (which it definately would have if it weren't for Ted Danson) Paul would be a regular. And a good one too.
I also think Kelly wouldve been upped to a regular as well. |
