great theme song
The theme music is great for this show. It could have been a hit single in its own right. Quincy Jones put as much effort into crafting something that still sounds good more than 30 years later as he did into his other projects. I like his themes for Ironside and The Bill Cosby Show too. There's a new CD called Couch Potatoes that has a new version of the Sanford theme on it and it's pretty decent stuff.
