Default Just in case some of you Mork and Mindy Fans never knew why the show canceled, here

is the reason. After the 1981-82 season, the show only managed to finish in 61st place out of 105 tv shows. So I guess ABC could see 81st place was a possibility for the following season which is why they canceled the show.

Mork and Mindy was so damn lame during it's final season, I am surprised that it even made it to 81st place; absolutely terrible plots, and ******** added chararters like Mork and Mindy's baby played by Jonathan Winters....Pretty Terrible Crap

Mork and Mindy had a baby!!! I didn't watch the show long enough to see that. What season did Mork and Mindy start dating?

If it was up to me, the show would have been in 61st place after it's first season-LOL

I believe the 3rd..I really cannot remember, because the last time I even watched Mork and Mindy, is when the show was on ABC back in the late-70's and early 80's

Well maybe if there were people around like you in 1981 the show would have lasted longer-lol Do you still like this show as an adult?

I was born after the series' original runs. I did watch bits and pieces of the show when it aired on Nick at Nite in the early 1990s and I liked it. I like the series still.

I liked the 4th season episodes too. I liked them better than the 2nd and 3rd season episodes.

Well that makes sense because by time the 4th season arrived, the show had already lost a large amount of Viewers and the eps in the last season probably wasn't as STRANGE as they were in season 2 and 3 but it was too late by that time..

I just wish they didn't screw things up after the 1st season; changing it's airing schedule, swapping characters (although I like Remo and Jeanie), and going for more serious themes. We're halfway through season 3 on DVD, and I still enjoy watching the show, but it's just not as funny as the first season. I think the show could've lasted longer if it had stayed the same. But, then again, what do I know?

ABC was wrong in thinking the show was strong enough to lead a nightly lineup
