Sad Living in a Dream World

Anyone else live in a dream world?

I feel so pathetic. I'll see an opportunity where I think something good might happen in my life and I go into my dream world and think it'll happen, but it never does. NEVER. I don't know why I bother. I should just always assume the worst and I won't be so depressed.

Sometimes I'm like that too- where I'll think something great could very well happen, and I'll make up whole scenarios of what'll happen- but they never happen! It kinda pushes your expectations and optimism down for everything else.

I live in my own little dream world too. I'll dream about how I would like something to turn out but it usually comes out the opposite. I daydream alot at work too. Reality can sometimes suck.

Of course. I sit back everyday and think "Okay. Maybe something good is gonna happen, finally..."

But does it EVER happen? Am I EVER happy? No. Of course not. I think someone's job out there is to make me miserable, because I truly am. At the end of the school year, a regular 15 year old should be happy school's over, going out and hanging with friends, not a care in the world.. not stuck in rehab.

I can relate, been living in one most of my life. I'm okay with it.
I'm really not too fond of reality these days.

Maybe your dreams are too perfect. Life isn't like that. There are pro's and con's to everything, and when you dream, you dream of the perfect outcome or the outcome that you would like exactly as you would like it to be. I'd say if you follow through with your dream don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out exactly how you wanted it to.
That curve in the road could lead to better(although maybe different) things.

Uh huh... I do. I don't even think of perfect senerios always. Just things that could happen that would be awesome. It never comes close to turning out. My life has basically been one big dream world for years, and every year it turns out boring. Maybe I should start dreaming about boring ****, and the opposite will come true.

Though I'm an extremely huge pessimist...I like to think something good will come to me one day, some great opportunity that'll make me happy for the rest of my life...but I still have that feeling in the back of my head saying it'll never happen.

I probably do, but they're not unrealistic. It's not like I expect to wake up and win the lottery or have someone offer me a $150K a year job, or for Mr. Right to fall out of the sky. I just want someone to hire me somewhere, for some nice guy to come along and not turn out to be a jerk...
