Did anyone realize Willis talked back to his father? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

If my father was the father on D.s Willis's teeth would have been knock out. My father would have got ethnic on his behild. If my mom was the housekeeper Soul Food would be for dinner every night. We would also have left overs. If mr Drummond was so rich wouldn't his family be all over him. Family he didn't know would be calling up for some cash money.

You have a lot kids who talk back to their parents on TV. My mother would not allow us to do it and there is no way in the world I'd allow my kids to do that to me. I don't have any yet, but when I do, they will know respect.

I think Willis has an explosive personality, he is the sort of person who does answer back, like in the episode "The Tutor" where he throws a book across the room.

Arnold- If I miss that skateboarding contest the rest of my life will be downhill!

Setting aside Willis and DS for this question. I hope I'm reading you wrong. You don't think that knocking a kids teeth out, or some other means of pain infliction, for talking back or for any reason at all, is an exceptible method of child rearing or gaining respect do you?

Well there was the famous ep where a cousin of the Jacksons' comes over to the Drummond residence and decides to crash for a spell. Since she was broke or to be more PC "economically challenged" or EC we could say she was after the Prosperity Blessing and the Big Resting (cause she crashed at the Mr D Pad). One of the better episodes for this Nifty Line:

Hai Glory!

but Slain in the Spirit or Benny Hinn wasn't necessary to knock me down because this line she said was Righteous and gave Me a Buzz

Classic.

Another episode had the boys saying:

Hai Glory!
Halleluah!

No that isn't what I meant, I don't think that is acceptible. I just meant as in talking back.

Whatchootalkinbout Kittflynn I did not understand a word you said. It was a fugure of speech. You really wouldn't knock their teeth out.
