I choose Rhoda because i never could get into Mary tyler Moore. I don't know if it was the cast but Rhoda just seemed to make me laugh More.

Mary Tyler Moore. I liked that show all the way through. I liked Rhoda but after she and Joe got divorced I lost interest.

I was reading a TV guide last week from 1976, and the TV ritic was saying that the show is better since her divorce from Joe. |

MTM, as much as I like Valerie Harper, I could never get into Rhoda.

The Critic explained that the problem with Rhoda by season 3 was playing the theme of BRAVE NEW WOMAN. |

![]() MTM and VH were great together, and as great of an actress as VH is, it just wasn't the same. |

MTM. The show stayed consistently funny until the final season when it was showing signs of tiredness. She bowed out at the right time before being forced off the air and/or the show became unwatchable.
Rhoda, on the other hand, was good in its first season. The problem was that her and David Groh was not compatible as husband and wife. They weren't sure what direction the show should go and with Rhoda married they immediately ran out of ideas. The separation was not good because there was a lack of direction. Too bad for such a talented cast that Rhoda had that it suffered from lack of direction. One thing I miss from MTM was Mary, Rhoda and Phyllis together in their scenes. Those three actresses knew how to play off each other and bring the best out in the other. |

I still don't know how the spinoff Phyllis finished #6 after it's first season. Damm that was a bad show. |

The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I haven't seen that much of Rhoda, but I couldn't really get into it.
