I think they're basically good eps, a little more of Blair than I prefer, but overall decent eps, however, they were NOT decent, fair, or even enjoyable LAST two eps of an incredible, 9 year running show.

They didn't deal with ALL the characters enough. Nat got about 4 minutes of screentime, Jo had about 10, and Tootie had about 10, too. There was also no real closure to anything, we sorta knew Tootie was going to London, Nat was settling in SoHo, and Jo was going to live with Rick somewhere, but there was no touching goodbye scene or the girls saying how much they'll miss each other...well, don't get me started...lol

I must agree. The only parts I really liked was when Jo had came to visit Blair and they were fighting in front of those 2 girls. And the very end...w/ more Jo. I also think that the picture was cute and my fav part about it was Jo giving Blair bunny ears. For some reason I always cry at that part. LOL! But it did revolve more around Blair then necessary and there was no "real" closing.

I agree with you, Suezq. They were good episodes, but not good finale episodes.

There were no good-byes. There was no reminiscing. There wasn't a mention of Mrs. G, I would have loved for one of them to give her a call. There was no Natalie and Tootie helping each other out, and very little of Jo and Blair helping each other out. Natalie was not even in the closing picture...PIPPA was instead! What's up with that?! We just saw Nat on the phone...I did not like that fact at all. The only thing that brought a smile to my face and really made me think of good times was the last line between Blair and Jo:
Blair explained how she looked awful so she decided to stand by Jo so no one would notice anyway. Then Jo stuck the bunny-ears on her. Typical Blair and Jo moment
Other than that...there was much to be desired.

Like others have said, I don't think they're bad episodes, just poor choices for a finale. Even the music was different. It was more like a pilot episode than a finale. It had some funny moments, but not enough familiarity if you know what I mean. For a final episode I want to see one last look at the characters I've grown to love over the years, not the introduction of a bunch of new ones. Let's compare it to the Seinfeld finale. Even though some of you are really young and probably didn't watch it. But anyway, in that one for the final episode they brought back a bunch of old characters. Now although they were funny and I enjoyed them, for the final episode what I wanted was some final funny moments from Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer. Turned out they didn't even speak very much in the episode. That was sort of the same thing, except instead of introducing new people, they brought back old, obscure ones. Anyway, I think I went too far. Should have been more Blair, Jo, Natalie, Tootie moments in the final episode. It just didn't end right. I know we've mentioned before that a much better series finale would have been Jo's wedding. See, that gives us a nice bit of closure, an excuse to reminisce and have everyone together, and a nice note to end on.

Exactly! I would have liked a lot more reminiscing.

The last 2 episodes were BAD...just very very BAD I thought. I mean, it seemed as though Blair was gonna have her own spin-off after this one, and the writing I thought was just god awful. I mean...this episode makes you think back to Blair in the 1980-1983 Eastland years, and how much better those were. Plus, the other characters show up only 2 times during the whole entire hour. A disappointment in the series.

Personally, I adored the last 2 eps, cuz they basically centered around Blair!

I liked the last 2 episodes. They had Seth Green & Blossom in them. Plus We knew Jo had
married Rick. Tootie was going to be a actress, Natalie was settiling down. Also Mrs.Garrett was remarried so they had to have a ending for Blair. Plus it showed how Blair had matured over the years to be running a school.

they sucked.....it was a crappy way to end a long running show, they could have of been a lil more creative then to have it all focused around Blair. ANd in the episodes she was more mature, and then in the reunion she was back to being an airhead, which was annoying. They werent bad episodes, just not season finale worthy.
