Would you or are you going to see 9/11.?To me I really don't wantto live that day,and I don't like Micheal Moore, not because of what he said at the Oscars and his point of views,I just don't like the guy.

I'll admit I'm starting to dislike Michael Moore's way of handling his anti-Bush campaign. But, several of my friends are kind of obsessed with Michael Moore, so I'll probably end up seeing it. I'm not sure if people outside the US will understand this film as much as Bowling for Columbine though.
If Bush isn't re-elected, Michael Moore will probably find himself with very little to do for quite a while. Then again, he always finds something 'corporate' to bash- so even if the next President is the opposite of George Bush, he'll find something to make a film about (The corporate subtext of Green Eggs and Ham). |

this is a movie, not politics, I was just wondering if any one was going to see the movie, and I don't like MM. Thats all. It's like saying that we can't discuss movies with (won't even say the word) themes to it.

I do agree with you in a way, it IS a movie, and it is probably the most talked about film of the moment. I think discussion over this movie is more intelligent and interesting than discussion over the latest fluff Hilary Duff/Lindsey Lohan flick. It is political, but it's still a movie, does this mean we can't talk about Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan or Rage Against The Machine in the music board either, since they are all very political artists

The music and art, and whatever has to do with the music of the said artists can be discussed. But if a thread is about anti-Bush concerts, their opinions about the current administration, and stuff like that, that is something I do not want to see. If you want an example, here is one: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...hreadid=113181 I guess since this thread is asking if people will see the movie, I'll leave it. I'll edit out any political comments and opinions like "this film is a bunch of lies" or "the Bush Administration is wrong." |

Sorry Brian, but I find your censorship of anything "********** */**" related a bit too much, and I'm sure many others agree. This is just a movie and we should have a right to discuss it like any other one.

Fahrenheit 9/11 is an extremely political movie. There's no getting around that fact. If a discussion is allowed, there's a very good chance that it will turn into a political debate. I miss talking politics here as much as the next person, but for the good of this site, it's a thing of the past. I understand your frustration, but know that this isn't Brian's fault or call to make. If he didn't stop it, TJ would most likely end up locking the thread. Many times, TJ closes threads on Chit Chat. I don't know it until I see them locked, same as everyone else. |

I'm not going to see this film. I didn't like Moore's "Bowling for Columbine" film. It's just his style of films. I didn't like "Bowling for Columbine" when I saw it at the library film theater with my mom. I felt like crying when I saw the film and found it hard to watch.
