Santa Monica, CA - June 24, 2004 - Nick@Nite is poised at the top of basic cable across a variety of key demos in total day for the second quarter to date, while marking its largest audience levels ever among its target Adults 18-49 demo and with Women 18-49. According to Nielsen Media Research (3/29/04 through 6/20/04) for total day, Nick@Nite currently is pacing to finish the second quarter first among Adults 18-34; first among W18-34 and W18-49; and second among A18-49. Overall, among total viewers, the network is pacing to finish the quarter among the top three in total day (1.3 million persons 2+, +11% over last year) and fifth (1.8 million persons 2+, +12%) in prime time.

Completion of the second quarter next week will mark Nick@Nite's largest audience levels ever among the A18-49 and W18-49 demos in total day. Among A18-49, the network is averaging a .6/656,000-up +20% in rating over last year. With W18-49 in total day, Nick@Nite is number one in basic cable, with an average .8/442,000 representing a +14% lift in rating over prior-year levels.

I guess it is pretty evident that Who's The Boss? isn't doing well

But I kind of expected it. I could always be wrong, but not a single mention? That speaks volumes, I think.

I hope not, but maybe they don't have the ratings in yet? Is that possible? Or maybe they just didn't release the ratings for WTB yet.

I can't imagine why it wouldn't do well, especially some days it's on after Full House, and some days its on after The Cosby Show. It's got a great time slot.

Maybe with the DVD release out people figure they will just watch when N@N starts airing Season 2

If the ratings for BOTH Fatherhood episodes are in, of course Who's the Boss would be in.

Doesn't look like WTB? did well at all. Not really surprising.

I wasn't sure how long it takes to get the ratings in.

Maybe they're gonna do a separate press release for that

well supposedly Wings does bad on N@N yet they've kept the show for over a year, so that's why I am a bit skeptical.

Why? WTB is still a popular show. Like I was saying, maybe the DVD release hurt the debut on N@N a bit.

I don't think that is the reason. Who's the Boss? is about two or three years late. If it came then (like when Cosby Show came), it would have done a little well I guess. Because now they are into these 90s shows like Roseanne, Full House, and the upcoming Fresh Prince and Murphy Brown. Unfortunately, I saw it coming that WTB? wouldn't do so well, at least the marathon. I also doubt the regular 10 p.m. slot will do well. I love the show though and it's so much better than the overrated Full House.

I'm not saying they are going to bump it off the schedule, but late nights, like Wings, seems very likely by this fall or even earlier.

I dont understand why WTB? would do so badly on Nick@Nite. Everyone I know (with the acception of LucyFan) loves WTB?, and most people I know hate Fatherhood.

But FH, TCS, Roseanne are all technically 80's shows that happened to end in the 90's same with WTB, Wings is technically their only true 90's sitcom.

Do you think the DVD release hurt the shows debut?

I mean if Wings was doing as bad as people say, wouldn't they take it off the network all together, or do like they did with Family Ties and put it on at 5 or 5:30 am?

Also I wanted to say, no show is gonna be an instant ratings smash, was TCS an instant smash on N@N? Was Full House? Its still early, I give WTB a chance, it's summertime as well, which I know alot of people who don't watch much tv during the summer.

Actually, I do think both shows were. You can probably do a search of these boards and find it. You can see how Fatherhood was an almost instant success(within TWO episodes).

As for why it didn't do good, I don't know. I think it's a good show, so I can't really explain it, I just never expected it to do well.

Hmm I didn't think TCS had done that great right away, I thought they started becoming a big hit this last year, but maybe Pav can say for sure.

Personally I think Nick at Nite needs another network for more modern shows, they could save N@N for TCS, Roseanne and Full House.
