Default I Might As Well Be Dead

I'm having such the hardest time finding a job. I never thought finding a job would be this hard. I only have a high school diploma so that could be the problem & i barely graduated. I never did care for school. My brain for some reason is dead when it comes to figuring things out & i can't remember what i study when i'm studying something. I'm studying for my CDL license right now & i know i'm gonna fail the test when i take it. I've never wanted to work a hard job such as construction, office work, warehouse, engineer, architect cause i don't have the brains to do that type of work. If a person was to train me on the job, i still wouldn't do the job right cause i know me. I don't know what i wanna do with myself. I've always wanted to get into entertainment industry since i was a kid cause that's where my heart is at & i know i would love being in that industry but i don't wanna live in New York or Los Angeles. Cleveland, Ohio is the only place i wanna live. I'm just very depressed right now cause i be thinkin at night sometimes when i go to sleep about what should i do for a career before i get too old. I'm already 27 yrs old & i'll be 28 in September. I've never had a full time job. I've always worked temporary jobs & part time jobs & i'm always gettin fired everywhere i go. Only job i think i would be good at is cleaning & i don't wanna do that for a career cause nobody wants to clean bathrooms & offices for a living cause that ain't no real money. I don't wanna go to community college to take any courses cause i hate school. I don't know what else to do. My life is sad. My brother is 24 & he's doing way better than me. He got his own townhouse & a caddilac escalade truck. It seems like i just keep having bad luck when it comes to keepin a job.

My mother told me that a long time ago but i said no cause i ain't fighting for america. America hasn't done anything for me so i ain't joining the military. I talked to my friend's father yesterday & he told me that his son joined the military which shocked the hell out of me cause he doesn't seem like the type to join the military. He was taking classes at Cleveland State but i guess he got fed up with not being able to find a job so he joined the military. His father told me that he went to Ft. Benning, Georgia for basic training & now he's in Korea & he's only 25. I hope he makes it back to Cleveland safely once his time is up serving his country. Another reason why i wouldn't join the military is because i don't like loud noises which means i don't like guns & i don't like pain so if i was to get shot, i would hate for that to happen cause i don't want no doctor trying to take a bullet out of me.

America has done more for you than most countries around the world have done for their citizens. If you paid attention in school, if you ever read any history you would know that this country affords you more opportunities than any other.

I'm not saying you have to sign up with the military, but how about some respect for all the things you take for granted.

America has done nothing for you?
You've done nothing for America- and that is the rest of us.

What did America do for you? LOL. You are 27 and never had a full-time job and still are able to watch sports regularly and post on the internet and I assume you are not starving either. Seems like your life is not too bad for the amount of effort you have put into it. If you were in most other countries and had your work ethic you would have starved long ago.

So even if you don't think America/the army deserves anything from you, remember that the Army can do things for you, hopefully at least improve your attitude. You do get something out of it. I don't know you but you seem to be asking for advice on here. It seems like you've been coddled for too long. No one is going to give you anything in this world, you have to go out and earn it.

Look what the real Isiah Thomas went through to go to a decent school and put up with Bobby Knight and then make it to the NBA. And even though he could sit on his A@@ and not work he is still working away. I know its easy to feel sorry for yourself, we've all done it, but get that CDL and start driving and keep trying to improve.

school isn't for everybody, sometimes you just need to head straight for the business world. look into taking some online courses that might interest you and work toward more than one goal so you can have something to fall back on. I am headed for the business world while I am still learning. I suggest you learn some HTML skills and become a webmaster because there is lot of money in that and you can start a company based on that.

I don't wanna take any online courses about business. I don't want a business job or a office job cause i don't like to dress up. Dressing up is another reason i don't go to church. I just like wearing baggy jeans & big shirts with black sneakers. That's the way i dress all the time & my father has a problem with that. Last weekend i went out to see this girl i'm seeing & i was wearing baggy clothes with sneakers & my father said you're going out of here lookin like that? I said yeah & he said you're 27 yrs old still dressing like a teenager LOL. I just feel comfortable wearing baggy clothes than i do dressing up. I can't help that.

Sinatrastar if it wasn't for my parents lettin me have a place to live, i would've been homeless cause my parents got tired of me staying with my grandfather & losing jobs. My situation is messed up cause i put myself in this situation by not having a plan when i graduated from high school. If i had to do all over again, i would've tried out for the high school basketball team & probably would've gotten a scholarship to college. Who knows, maybe i would've been in the NBA by now. Basketball has always been a dream of mine but for some reason i was more concerned with doing my homework & passing tests so i could graduate & i felt like i wouldn't have had time to play basketball in high school & do my homework & study. I don't think i could've juggled all of that. I keep tellin my parents to let me be out on my own but they say where are u gonna go & i don't have a answer. I know i don't wanna stay at a homeless shelter. I've visited a homeless shelter before just to see what it's like & it's not a pretty sight. I saw homeless black men sharing bunk beds.

when I say business I mean build on an interest you might have and it's better for some people to skip school and start their own business. my point was be your own boss.

I am going to be honest and tell you that I skimmed over all that other nonsense, including the crap that I wrote.

Go get a job.

Try imagining if you had a family to support and you took this arrogant attitude that you are above all this.

I have a college degree and I can't find a job. Apparently people assume I can't do anything just by looking at my resume.

I can't stand my current job anymore; it makes me sick just thinking about going back there. I can't find another job.

I guess it's a damn good thing I live with my parents so at least I can eat.
