One drawback right now is that the current batch of Queen CDs (the ones mastered in 1991 after Hollywood Records bought the U.S. rights the the Queen catalog from Elektra) sound absolutely horrid. This is due to the heavy-handed "remastering." Everything sounds compressed very heavily, and noise reduction was used excessively. It sucks the joy out of listening to the albums on a decent sound system (though The Miracle and Innuendo, both digital recordings to begin with, sound okay). These problems also apparent on Classic Queen and Greatest Hits, as well as The Gold Collection.

The "bonus tracks" on the proper albums, mostly remixes created in 1991, are also unnecessary.

I have the DCC Gold CD of A Night At The Opera mastered by Steve Hoffman, and it sounds fantastic. I hope the Queen catalog gets remastered soon with the same care Hoffman put into Night At The Opera.
