I went to RWCC>Rick Wakeman's Communication Center and asked the owner of the site if that was indeed Elton John in the "Bang A Gong" video. He just emailed me and said that yes, that is Elton. Rick Wakeman played on the actual recording but that was Elton John on the video. Just wanted to clear this up!

You're welcome! This has been really bugging me! I watched the video again and I just HAD to find out the facts! Stuff like this drives me crazy until I get an answer!

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I saw that video on VH1 classic. That's definitely Elton.
