Question When did "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" end?

Anyone know the exact day or the month and the year? GSN was showing episodes from 2001(Spring I believe) last week and tonight they are showing Episode 31(first show of 2000). Strange. I thought they would go to the end(I know the show was still on after 9/11 because they did celebrity editions where they played for charities related to it).

Technically, Millionaire hasn't ended (Remenber: Super Millionaire is a continuation of the regular series) but the last regular episodes with Regis aired in Mid '02

Also it is syndicated but Regis doesn't host it. It's hosted by Merideth Vierea of The View.

No offense, but I HATE the syndicated version.

The original Who Wants to be a Millionaire aired its last episode on June 27, 2002. BTW, I agree that the syndicated version is horrible. What were they thinking?

Millionaire just isn't fun without Regis. He added something to the show.

I much prefer Meredith's version. Regis is great, but Meredith is better imo.
