Today I turned 23.
I am going to celebrate this day by going to the Falls and keeping my phone off all day. (I quit my job last week...I couldn't take it anymore) I'm going to make this "Manic Monday" into a "Funday."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEE!!
Hope you had a great one and a fun day! What did you do or get? Cool how your bday falls on the first day of summer - the longest day of the yr, so hope it was a good one lol! Thats cool that you also had the day off and get to relax! Congrats on getting out of that horrible job! Hopefully you'll find something better and that will make you alot happier with nice people lol.

Thanks all!
Okay, so it wasn't really a "funday," but it wasn't manic. Went to the Falls. Went in casino for two seconds (I don't know why I did). The fact that no machine I sat at took my money was a good sign that I shouldn't be there so I left. I went to the actual landmark Falls and walked around for a while. Breathed in the fresh air and relaxed. Got doused a little at Horseshoe Falls. Came back home, had Indian for dinner and grabbed French Toast with strawberries for dessert (I really wanted Belgian Waffles with strawberries, but where I went only served them at certain times). It rained a for about 20 minutes later in the evening...but it didn't affect me. I'm at that age where I don't care if I get anything or not...'specially when I'm too broke to get anyone else anything. Oh Julie, in re: job I quit it last Wednesday. I couldn't deal with the gossip, drama, mismanagement, and the fact that they expect people to work TEN hour shifts with minimal breaks. Ya gotta be kiddin' me. |

Happy Belated Birthday
I'm glad you enjoyed the Falls. I went there over 20 years ago and had a blast. We (parents and I) stopped on the way home from Chicago. |
