Angry Why...

Can't I hang up on Telemarketers? Seriously, when they call, I have to wait for THEM to hang up, otherwise my phone line isn't clear until they do, even though I try to hang up and put the phone down.

Why the ****ing hell is this? Surely I should be able to hang up on ANYONE when I want to? It's beyond ludicrous and it's pissing me off. Sometimes they don't hang up for ages when I check either. :evil

I've heard of a few other people having the same problem...anyone here?

Hang up the phone, and pick it back up. If theyre still there, press one of the buttons on the phone (on the highest volume) and hold it down for a few. Or get a horn or whistle and blow into it really loud.

Haha, Id be one of those pissed off telemarketers whod stay on the line if someone hung up on me.

Three telemarketers called this evening. It's ridiculous and we're going to get a block on them. And if they still call after that they will be getting a VERY loud noise down their ears. *cackles*

Yeah, you can go to Walmart and get one of those cheap air horns(they usually sell them over by the camping and boating equipment, I think). Even if the phone is sitting on his desk, he's bound to hear it. And so is his boss.

Oops, sorry!
Oh well, his/her avatar says he lives on Fantasy Island. I'm sure Mr. Roarke can whip up something for him!

No Walmarts in the UK?! I'm definitely moving there now.

I've never had that problem with telemarketers... Any of those annoying-noise-ideas sound like winner suggestions to me though.

I was the same way, but now I can hang up on them, but lately all we seem to get is calls and there's nothing on there, stupid telemarketers
