Default mistakes in episodes

I was watching EP. #30 (Love Thy Neighbor) and I caught a mistake. It was when Carl was stomping out the burning bag of garbage. He slipped on the garbage and slid into the wall next to the back door. THE WALL MOVED!!

Default There were others as well...

the edits for the show were really bad as well. I noticed that when watching the syndication versions.

Default More mistakes in episodes

Now that we have the complete series on DVD,
I thought it would be fun to find any mistakes you find in episodes.

This is from DJM77

This is about the "Harry the Hamster" episode. Did anyone else notice that Addy's earring fell out when she walked into the living room? She picked it up and then put it back in but then it kept disappering and reappearing throughout the scene. It would be there one second and then gone the next. Later on it fell out again when her and Nell were singing. Nell picked it up and handed it to her when they were done with their song.

This is from Wildchats

Hey...in "Grandpa's visit" at the beginning...behind the couch, near Nells room, there's a head with hair wig. What the heck was it doing there? That wasn't for the family. I wonder why they had it in there? Was it a prop? Or was it part of the hair crew and they left it onstage? It didn't make sense. It was there when Grandpa went to the house, but when he woke up in the middle of the night, the table, the head and the hair piece were gone.

I thought It would be good to keep them all the mistakes in one thread.

Also from Wildchats...

What was that? It sounded like a smoke alarm with a battery that was running out.

In season 3, Grandpa sits at the kitchen table, then he says some dialogue and we hear a beeping sound. I want to say it happened in the episode "Katie's College". Not sure, but it was in an episode Grandpa sits in the kitchen and says something to Nell and we hear the beep.

In season 6 the beeping sound happened twice. In "Christmas in New York" Joey goes "Aunt Nell" and then we hear the beep as Nell goes "Hah?" as she walks back into the living room.

Again in season 6, in "Joey The Gambler" at the police station, we hear the beep when the officer talks to Joey about how gambling is wrong.

Any other times in the series did you hear the beep? I think those were the only ones, but there could have been others.

There's an episode where Nell sets the phone reciever down on the table and then the next thing we know the reciever is back on the phone even though we never hear or see Nell hang up. I can't remember which episode it was from but it was either in the 1st or 2nd season. In another episode Nell makes an inaccuarate comment about how long the Brady Bunch ran for.

"The show did run 9 years and is in syndication"....That was from "Family Reunion" season 5.

So true. But let's just guess the character of Nell didn't pay attention to detail on how long something ran on TV. But it was not correct as it did only run 5 years.

Though the Brady Bunch really did have that 70s feel that it could have easily lasted a few more seasons had Reed not wanted off. Would have been nice to see the Brady Bunch lasting into 1978 or even 1979 and Alice's wedding to Sam which we never got to see but heard they married around that time once the Brady Girls Get Married aired.

Joey The Gambler

Officer: Joey, gambling's wrong...

(The beep goes off)

Officer: Punishable by going to jail.

If I recall, when they aired that episode on USA, it was edited a lot, with scenes taken out, like Maggie/Nell at the beginning about the "Shoes" and Mama Maybell on the phone about Joey. Maybe they edited out the beep for re-runs. But it was definitely there on re-runs and on DVD for "Christmas In New York". Not sure about the beep where Grandpa is at the kitchen table in season 4...I forget the episode, but it was there on the DVD, not sure if it was in re-runs.

The beep sound is like a loud chirp that is very quick. I only heard it several times, and it happened between seasons 4-6. Someone said it was a beep that beeped out a swear, but it wasn't. It was just a beep sound in the studio I believe. It wasn't a beep to beep out a word they added in during editing. Like as they were filming, the beep went off. Sorta sounded like a smoke alarm with its battery running out with a quick "beep" for a second or so. Grandpa was talking to Nell and it went off really loud in this scene. It was not to beep out a swear. I don't know if it was late season 3 or in season 4? I want to say 3, and it could have been "Katie's College". Not sure. It was a scene with Grandpa sitting at the kitchen table, the chair was closest to the fridge, and as he was talking you can hear his dialogue and this loud annoying beep inside the studio.

Example:

Christmas In New York:

Joey: Aunt Nell?

BEEP

Nell: (Off Screen): Huh?

Valentine is the episode!

Grandpa: Her name is Sarah Banks (laughs) (Bloop goes off )as Grandpa mumbles "and, but she's"...she's very attractive.

This was a "Bloop" sound, not a beep. It was a sound that was in the studio, not edited into the episode.

So the episodes that have the sound are:

Season 3 "Valentine" (Bloop sound as Grandpa talks about Sarah Banks in the kitchen to Nell)

Season 6 "Christmas In New York" (Beep sound goes off when Joey talks to Nell about the Christmas trees.)

Season 6 "Joey The Gambler" (Beep goes off as the officer talks to Joey about how Gambling is wrong.)
