I will go with NBC because the network only had two good shows during that era. Sanford and Son and Different Strokes. All the other shows from 70-79 were Garbage.
Chico and the Man Bonanza Adam-12 Rockford Files Police Woman Little House on the Prairie Columbo Lawrence Welk Quincy Grady The list goes on. So NBC was defintely a network to stay away from in the 70's. |

I'd say NBC. I barely remeber any NBC sitcoms from the 70's aside from Sanford & Son. The 70's, especially the late 70's, belonged to ABC:
Welcome back Kotter Happy Days Laverne & Shirley Three's Company Soap Mork & Mindy Taxi Charlie's Angels Love Boat Starsky & Hutch Vegas What's Happening Fantasy Island |

NBC, can't think of anything NBC aired besides Diff'rent Strokes, Sanford and Facts Of Life in the 1970's.

NBC was dead until the mid-80s.

NBC had the worst shows in the 70's easily.

NBC was in bad shape in the 70s. Besides Sanford and Son the only humor show it had in the first 1/2 of the decade that got any kind of decent rating was Flip Wilson and for a short while Laugh-In. In the second half it only had Chico and the Man and Diff'rent Strokes. Even the dramas were not all that memorable, except for Ironside, the mystery movie franchise, Little House on the Prairie, Bionic Woman and Quincy NBC had a bunch of very low rated duds on its lineups.

Definitely NBC. There weren't really many memorable shows from NBC during the 70's...the only ones that come to mind at the moment are Sanford & Son, Chico & the Man, The Flip Wilson Show, and Diff'rent Strokes (which I consider more of an 80's show). Oh, and the The Rockford Files and Columbo. ABC, on the other hand, had a lot of memorable shows, especially towards the end of the decade.
