What was the Jackie Thomas show about ? I have tried to catch an episode but it doesn't air in reruns. Has anyone here ever watched the show?

Unfortunately, I don't think I ever saw the show, and if I did, it was just snippets, and I don't remember anything. I've done a little research on the show, and it sounds intriguing. Check out these sites for some info...

Was never shown in Australia - none of Tom Arnolds shows have in fact! I remember an episode of Roseanne where they're talking about watching the Jackie Thomas show but that's alls I know

I really can't stand Tom Arnold but I read the guide for this show on TV Tome and it sounded really interesting, I'd like to watch it. Too bad it only had like 20 episodes and they don't show it in syndication.

H. E. Pennypacker, when does Roseanne show in Australia? Does it show on normal channels or cable?

In it's original run Roseanne screened on Network Ten first on Fridays 8.30 (Partnered with Coach S1 - S4), Then Tuesdays (Partnered with Seinfeld S5 - S6), Thursdays 7.30 in an hr block (S6 - S7), Wednesdays 8.00 (With Mad About You S8) S9 aired on Sundays 7.00 with The Nanny.

(Australian Primetime is M-S 7.30 to 10.30, Sun 6.30 to 10.30, as opposed to US 8 - 11)

Since going into rerun heaven it has been stripped both on FTA on various occasions as well as on Cable Channel TV1, ATM it's not on anywhere though

I remember when channel 10 put reruns of Roseanne on a few years back, they hacked it to pieces. If the characters mentioned sex more than once it was edited, sometimes huge scenes were taken out, characters would start out talking at one end of the room and end up at the other side like magic, it was annoying.

I was in heaven when TV1 aired it because they showed episodes completely uncut, however they have only shown seasons 1-5 over a 3yr period and I have heard no word of them airing the remainder of the series anytime soon.

Don't get me wrong the show is popular, but for some reason gets overlooked in reruns, don't know why.

The desperation for DVD's is higher for me as it may be the only way to see Roseanne ever again.

TV1 have really dropped the ball with their Roseanne re-runs, I think they showed S4 during the day (TV1 Lunchbox) why they do that when Just Shoot Me and Becker take up space in Prime Time is beyond me - Watch Ted Danson on those ads when he refers to Becker as one of Televisions Greatest Hits! Even he can't believe it!

They've also stalled with Married with Children reruns too!

I remember when Ten was stripping Roseanne 5 nights a week, the reason they we're editing the episodes was to fit the conditions of a G-Rated timeslot, luckily if they ever do it again it won't be as bad the ABA have just changed the rules this month so broadcasters can show PG shows from 7pm instead of 7.30 meaning that shows like Roseanne, The Simpsons, Frasier and Seinfeld won't be censored!
