Talking LITB Theme… "The TOY PARADE"

Here's some more trivia folks...
I copied this from a website.

***********************************
Toy Parade by Dave Kahn, Mort Greene and David Gordon, served as the theme for the sitcom "Leave It To Beaver" (1957-1963). The show used a voiceless version, but the lyrics began "Hey! Here they come with a rum-tee tum, they're having a toy parade..." It mellowed into a more jazzlike orchestration for the last two seasons.
***********************************
Look how much you can learn here huh? (LOL)

I remember an ep of "New Leave It to Beaver" where Wally SANG 'The Toy Parade' to his child.

I would have liked to hear and see that.

I went to Google and found the lyrics for The Toy Parade.
After reading them,I could just imagine Wally singing it to his young child.

Not only did Wally sing "The Toy Parade" to his newborn son Kevin at the end of the episode, there was something else that happened too. Earlier, when everyone was at the hospital waiting for Mary Ellen to give birth, Beaver and June were sitting next to each other in the waiting room, and June was reminiscing about when she gave birth and took home Wally and the Beaver. She said Wally was so lively, always crying and eating. Beaver asked what he was like, and June said he just laid their sucking his blanket. But the only way Wally would go to sleep was if Ward held him in his arms and sang "Here they come, rum te tum, they're having a toy parade" While she was singing this softly, Beaver starts dozing off and June hits him on his arm.

Then at the end of the episode, Wally is holding his newborn son in his arms and starts singing the song. In the middle of it, the music starts to go along with his singing, and you first realize that its the theme song. It was really quite beautiful and touching.
