Default Favorite non-Mario Nintendo franchise

Ever since the release of the NES and Super Mario Brothers in 1985, the famous plumber in red by the name of Mario has been arguably the biggest and most popular franchise in the history of Nintendo. He's probably #1 to every person who has played Nintendo. But there have been other franchises from the big video game giant but have stuck around for years and produced very good quality games for years. So I ask, besides Mario, what is your favorite franchise out of the ones in the poll? Below are the popular and exclusive Nintendo video game franchises and their games. Games not released in the U.S. and games not released yet are not included.

The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
Zelda 2: Link's Adventure (NES)
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC)
The Legend of Zelda: The Oracle of Ages (GBC)
The Legend of Zelda: The Oracle of Seasons (GBC)
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (N64)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GC)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past w/ The Four Swords (GBA)

Kirby
Kirby's Adventure (NES)
Kirby's Dream Land (GB)
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (GB)
Kirby's Pinball Land (GB)
Kirby's Star Stackers (GB)
Kirby's Block Ball (GB)
Kirby's Dream Course (SNES)
Kirby Super Star (SNES)
Kirby's Avalanche (SNES)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (SNES)
Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble (GBC)
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (GBA)
Kirby's Air Ride (GC)

Metroid
Metroid (NES)
Metroid 2: The Return of Samus (GB)
Super Metroid (SNES)
Metroid Fusion (GBA)
Metroid Zero Mission (GBA)
Metroid Prime (GC)

Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble (SNES)
Donkey Kong Land (GB)
Donkey Kong Land 2 (GB)
Donkey Kong Land 3 (GB)
Donkey Kong Country (GBC)
Donkey Kong 64 (N64)
Diddy Kong Racing (N64)*
Donkey Kong Country (GBA)

*I'm including this since the the Diddy Kong character is a part of the franchise, even though Donkey Kong himself isn't in the game.

Happy choosing.

ZELDA!!!!!!! Best game ever, period.

It's honestly my favorite game in the whole world. Nothing else even compares.

But that Kirby Crystal Shards game makes me wanna cry... cos I played that during the best summer of my entire life. That was the summer I fell in love for the first time, my awesome cousin was here, and I first came to SO... awww memories.

ZELDA! N64 Zelda rocks my world.

I will always have a lotta love for DK though. That was my first game ever. I got my cousin's 1982 DK game when he was sick of it. I loved that thing.

ZELDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You knew I was going to answer with Zelda.

I want to get a tattoo of the first LOZ game's logo eventually... And one of my VERY first memories is of watching my mom play LOZ in 1987. Great, great, GREAT memories...

I voted Kirby. I was never a fan of Zelda, didn't like Donkey Kong. I had Kirby's Dream Land and Kirby's Pinball on Gameboy.

what?
no Ice Climbers?

Zelda, by far. Although I like them all. Nothing beats Nintendo.... in fact, I never have and never will buy a system that isn't made by them.
