They should be allowed to roam free. Cats don't bother me when I'm outside, its dogs that should be on a leash. They bite.
Besides when I had a cat, he roamed everywhere and he was okay. I see cats everywhere in my town and except for an occasional cat fight they don't cause any problems.

I think putting a cat on a leash is a silly idea.

That's stupid. Believe me, cats hate leashes dont go where you direct them to. i remember tying a string around my cat's neck when i was 5 and dragging her around with it. and my cat i have now loves going outside by herself, she knows her way around the area. she goes into peoples yards sometimes but theyre used to it and she doesn't go near traffic because it scares her.

If a cat was on a leash, youd for the most part be walking it, and cats dont walk when you want them too lol. But eehh.. I mean, it has its good points and bad, but its not as 'dangerous' as a dog.

That is so stupid. I walk my cat on a leash, but that's because I'm overprotective of my cat. Not because it's the law. It's not the law where I live. I think if this law gets passed, it should end up on one of those dumb laws lists. It would probably be the number one dumbest law.

That's ridiculous. Cats and Dogs -- different animals. It makes sense for dogs to be on leashes, but not cats. The good news is, dogs can tolerate leashes just fine, and they are just the animal that need it. NOT CATS. Cats aren't potential biters and knocker-downers. I can't believe people are complaining about cats roaming around.

(eh... I think the poll has funny results... are people putting "no" because the title says, "...Feline Leash Law Do you agree or disagree?"
The article says: Should cats be allowed to roam free? Yes, they need it to be happy and healthy. Yes, but it's still smarter to keep them indoors. No, they should be kept under control. So I clicked the first yes... j/w, but I thought more people wouldn't click "yes" because it seems most of us agree it would be a stupid law... |

We tried to put our cat on a leash. It didn't like that AT ALL. It broke the thing to get out of it.
It's a stupid idea. If cats want to run free, let them be. Dogs on other hand, especially big dogs, should ALWAYS be on leashes when outside. I get all nervous around them. |

A stupid law, like my cat would let me put a leash on him, not without me getting clawed to death

It's a good idea in theory, but cats hate to be restrained, so I voted no.

"Honey! I'm going to walk the cat!"
Nope, sounds stupid.
