Angry I found a website that is defaming Freddie Prinze Sr.

While suring the web for articles on Freddie,I came across a website with a fairly long article about Freddie.This article has someone claiming to have knowledge of Freddies family background and goes on to call him a bigot.Apparently the person writing the article believes this.I am not happy that I came across this site with the things that were written.I don't know if I am allowed to post the site on here or not.Any advise?

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer as to whether you're allowed to post the article here or not. If it's the same article I'm thinking of, though, I've also read it, and I truly despised it. If you do post it here, I'm sure it'll cause lots of discussion. That's all I can say.

Here are a few things,please someone let me know when I can post the web site;

some exerts from the site;
````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Then, not long after I began editing the site, I got a credible letter from a man who identified himself as a college professor in the Los Angeles area. He said he worked in a store as a young man. This was around 1974. A security guard at the store and my correspondent got into a conversation one day. The guard showed him identification with the name Karl Pruetzel on it. The professor said that even then he knew that Pruetzel was Freddie Prinze, Sr.’s real last name. The guard said that he was Freddie’s father and that he had served in the German army during WWII.
Freddie obviously did not have to lie. No one before me has ever investigated his background—checked his story. I was able to drive a hole into the story about his father’s origins without leaving my computer. The story fell into my lap, more or less, so I am relating it.
We will be happy to retract or otherwise modify this story if anyone knows of anything in error in it and is willing to provide verifiable evidence supporting their contention of error. Likewise, if anyone has any verifiable information supporting the main factual contentions of this story—i.e., about Freddie’s father—please contact us at editor@xxxxxxx.
end of exerts
````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Has anyone seen this before???
(I left out the e-mail adddress)So that is just a fraction of it.

I looked it up online & I'm betting it is this.http://redsea.blogspot.com/2002_06_2...a_archive.html

Sorry they are downing him over there. Wish they'd quit saying bad things about him. I read where his dad left Germany for the US to escape the war & holocaust & his grandma was upset at him for leaving the family behind...

Well, that was a good laugh. Please know that I'm not laughing at you illusion. Far from it.
Unfortunately there are sites (and people for that matter) who seem to take pleasure in pointing out little inconsistencies of people who are no longer here to defend themselves.(Isn't that convenient? ) Anyway, I think they are overlooking a huge point that might better explain their question. That being that Freddie was always closer to his mother than his father and he felt more Puerto Rican than anything else. That doesn't make him anything other than human. His family usually consisted of his mother's family, so he was more comfortable about that side of his heritage. That shouldn't be hard to understand. It also doesn't mean he was hiding. From what I understand, his father didn't really talk alot about his life before he met Maria, so it could be that Freddie didn't quite know the WHOLE Story. How many kids do know everything their parents did before they were born?
I just wanted to say that I hope you don't get too upset over this site. It's not worth it and you have to take these "stories" with a grain of salt.

Thumbs down

God bless America..... and the freedom for people to make complete jacka..'s of themselves by spouting off about things they don't know much about..... I guess that is the price we pay for the freedoms we enjoy. At least the people who do know also have the freedom to IGNORE ignorance!!!! (notice the play on words there! LOL )

imaillusion, thank God that for every one site that does this Freddie bashing, there are many more who love him!
