Any chance you can combine some of these threads or not post so many so as not to push other threads down the page?

1- Walk Like An Egyptian-Bangles- never liked this then or now
2- Alone- Heart- same as Bangles 3- Shake You Down- Gregory Abbott- he's like a lounge singer 4- I Wanna Dance With Somebody Who Loves Me- Whitney Houston- Not too bad and her high notes at the end are more pleasant and less jarring than Mariah Carey's antics. I don't think Houston could hit those notes now though after all the coke/crack etc 5- Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now- Starship- nothing to get worked up over 6- Cest La Vie- Robbie Nevil- why was this so popular? 7- The Way it is- Bruce Hornsby and the Range- the best song in this list, intelligent lyrics, well sung and good piano 8- Here I Go Again- Whitesnake- not my taste 9- Shakedown- Bob Seger- average 10-Livin On A Prayer- Bon Jovi- not my taste to artist: Madonna r&B 1- Stop to Love- Luther Vandross- nice in spite of the cheezy synths 2- Always- Atlantic Starr- ok about as good now as then 3- As We Lay- Shirley Murdock- never liked this 4- Victory- Kool and the Gang- average 5- Control- Janet Jackson- never liked this 6- Casanova- Levert- liked it a lot in 87, the instrumentation is too much 7- Love You Down- Ready for the World- never liked 8- Looking for A New Love- Jody Watley- never liked 9- Just to See Her- Smokey Robinson- nice record and since he divorced that year I guess autobiographical 10- Love is A House- Force MDs- nice song, very underrated top artist: Freddie Jackson Adult Contemporary 1- Can't We Try- Dan Hill/Vonda Shepherd- nothing special 2- Somewhere Out there- Linda Ronstadt/James Ingram- OK for a song from a movie about mice but not the best either has done 3- Will You Still Love Me- Chicago- OK but we miss Peter Cetera 4- Balllerina Girl- Lionel Richie- nothing special 5- This is the Time- Billy Joel- nothing special 6- Love is Forever- Billy Ocean- his best ballad though his singing is generally too boombastic 7- Didn't We Almost Have it All- Whitney Houston- don't like this one, it's not her singing the song itself is inconsequential 8- Mandolin Rain- Bruce Hornsby and the Range- nice enough then and now 9- I Wanna Dance With Somebody- Whitney Houston 10- Songbird- Kenny G- OK top artist: Bruce Hornsby and the Range [/B][/QUOTE] |
