Default Seinfeld vs. The Simpsons

Unarguably.... the 2 series that defined the decade.

Critics loved them both, and so did millions of fans.
The only question is.... which do you prefer??

And if you think something else defined the 1990s more.... please share, although I cant think of anything that could come close.

Barwars, I'm surprised to see you have a Simpsons related avatar. I didn't think you liked the show.

Ive always liked it, but recently Ive been enjoying it more and more.
But if you look closely.... its more Cheers related than Simpsons related.

And even though my "Simpsons appreciation" is on the rise, I still prefer Seinfeld.

I vote for The Simpsons. Seinfeld was immensely popular, but I personally never understood the appeal.

I'd choose Seinfeld, The Simpsons have made it damn near impossible to recruit new fans who may have quit watching in the early 90's (I quit watching Fox's Thursday lineup in the early 90's FOR the early 90's NBC Seinfeld/Wings/Frasier/Mad About You lineup... and haven't really watched since)

Seinfield was an unfunny show about nothing. I don't understand how anyone could've liked that show...especially over the simpsons!

I love The Simpsons, but since we're talking about defining a decade, I'd choose Seinfeld. It was unlike anything we've ever seen on TV. A show about nothing! GENIUS! That's what the 90s were all about. Fussing over nothing, stressing over nothing, complaining about nothing, doing nothing!
