Default Florida was the only TV Character on Good Times that never had her...

age revealed. It was never mentioned during the entire 5 year run. It was never evn close to being revealed. But the ages of all the other characters on the show were mentioned

Michael-was 11 when the Show started and 16 when it ended

Thelma was 16 when the show started and 21 when it ended.

J.J was 17 when the show started and 22 when the show ended

James was 41 when the show started and 43 in his last season.

Willona was 43 when the show started and 48 when it ended.

In real life:

Ralph was actually 12 going on 13 when the show started and
17/18 when it ended.

Bern nadette was actually 20 when the show began and 25
when it ended.

Jimmie was 24 at the start and 29/30 at it's end.

John was 31 and about 34 on his last season.

I really don't know too much about Janet Du'bois actual age.

We can assume what Florida's age was. I think it was "Florida Goes to School" she mentioned she dropped out of school when she was 16. If we assume she dropped out because she was pregnant with JJ, we can figure out her age at that point based on how old the JJ character was.

I forgot to mention Florida. She was around 50/52 when the show started and 55/57 when it ended.

This is logical Vashti, but Florida seemed to be older than 34 when the show started. I would buy that she was more or less the same age as James. Maybe she did quit school because of pregnancy and she lost the child.

That would open up a whole thing among fans about if Florida did have a miscarriage, why it was never mentioned on the show. Plus, they do often make mention on the show about JJ being the"first born".

That's why I like this show. These characters had depth to them, mediocre writing notwithstanding. Florida could have had a miscarriage or perhaps not but they wrote the character in such a way that something like that could have been part of her background without it being exploited by the storylines.

I'm amazed that they let JJ be conceived outside of wedlock. Daring plot point for the 70s IMO.

Yeah the show always tried to make it seem they went to school together but it never look like it to me. If they did, willona was in a lower grade.
